Recommend a Gamerpic [Archive]

Ok folks, I need a Live Gamerpic. Since recent events, I have gone back to a default, plain 'ol pic. I want something different! Something that fits! And I need it from MS themselves, apparently. Any recommendations on what to look at? Where to go on Live? Tell me, please!

I just rectified this problem by downloading a Grabbed by the Ghoulies picture pack. It is really awesome and I hope that Rare will see the sale and decide to make a sequel.

There was a Battlestar Galactica pack that was free awhile ago; no idea if it still is. I've switched to Commander Adama because Edwards James Olmos rocks. I admit, I should change it to Six or Boomer if I'm going to have to look at it a lot though.

Part of me feels silly spending money on pictures packs unless it's going to a good cause. For instance, I would totally buy a CoG or Child's Play picture pack.

Well, hell, why doesn't the gaming blog community put something together to sell to raise money for Child's Play? I'm sure there'd be mad support for it.

The Sonic the Hedgehog pack is the only one I've bought and I like it alot. Also, the Mega Man 9 packs are kind of sexy.

There are a LOT of free ones out there. Everyweek when I sign on I also check out the new demos and other things in the marketplace. Themes and Gamerpics is one I check out as well. Free is good.

I say download one of those Ford gamerpic packs. They are of cartoon/art by some artist. Not cars. I have both of those, and I really love the pictures. I use those from time to time.

But right now I'm rocking the Obama/Biden pic. Until the 5th anyway.

When you don't have enough Microsoft points to buy a full-on game, and no TV shows really interest you that much, and you really don't feel like buying more points for awhile... why not? Especially when it's Penny Arcade?

I save it and add a little money when I do need a full game, or buy a RB song. That is probably the thing I hate the most about the 360, how you can only buy points in increments, and there is no refund policy for spares. I like how on the PS3, I can buy points in any increments I want.

I couldn't agree more with you on that. I know that when the time comes for me to get rid of whatever points I have left... I'll STILL have random odd points left, 'cause there's no possible way to buy exactly however many you need.
