So I was at the EA site, mainly to make sure I remembered my EA account details so I could get my beta account for Battlefield Heroes, and they had a trailer for this game running, and it looks really neat and I hadn't heard it mentioned here.

I have been wondering about this game for a while, looks pretty good. It also looks pretty difficult...

I don't get this at all from all the videos and tutorials but I think I'm going to love it.

It gets a good review and 8/10 in this month's EDGE.

Is it out this month in NA? Looks like it could be this year's Professor Layton (since I haven't seen anything about when/if the next Layton game is hitting our shores).

That's some weird shit. I love it, almost enough for me to re-buy a ds...

I don't have a DS, so I've no real interest in this, but reading the brief review, it sounds like enemies you defeat in the top screen drop down to the bottom, where they have to be defeated again before they rise back up. Sounds pretty interesting.

Anyone else playing yet? I just played the first couple of levels and it is good so far.
Different than I expected, in that I thought you controlled both the puzzle and the platforming simultaneously.

I'm glad it's turning out well. I want to try it at some point.

Anyone played it then?
I got it from gamefly a little while ago and am loving the shit out of it. However, I think I'm about to return it as now that I'm a little further into the game, the puzzle realm, it's too difficult. I'm not really enjoying myself anymore.
But the good news is, it's fun up until that point. Now it's just frustrating for me...

Man, I need this. A puzzle game and a platformer... that you have to play at the same time... where everyone's number one complaint is that it's too hard. That's Mike Kelehan territory.

Oh man. I didn't realize I hadn't posted in this thread after the game came out. It's a fantastic game but near the end it's so hard it's basically broken. I still like it a lot but I doubt I'll play it very much unless I'm really in the mood for punishment... and I have Class Of Heroes for that...

I'm with Spigot. I got far into the game but it became so punishingly difficult that it just caused me more frustration than enjoyment. I'm more of a laid back gamer these days though. If something continually kicks my butt I'll give it up and move on rather than endure and try to push through the pain. I can't really say anything else bad about the game though. It's a great idea and it is executed very well.

Indeed.
How far into the game were you guys? I made it decently far, but now they've just introduced those yellow guys that shoot the bubbles at you and those coupled with another monster just destroy me. Not to mention those fucking ballerina bears or whatever they are.
I'm glad to know that it's not just me.

I got to the second or third stage of the Puzzle Realm proper. I'm not sure if it's the final world of the game, but I'd hate to think of how hard things get after this!

Just polished off the rest of my lives and was about to ship the game back to Gamefly when I noticed that there's unlimited continues...I may have to play the game some more, even if it becomes frustratingly difficult at times.

I'm with Kelehan. I just finished up the Puzzle Realm levels and I'm finding it pleasingly difficult -- I think I had to try one of the bosses 4-5 times but other than that it just takes Castlevania-esque patience at times.
I will say that some of the secret levels can border on nightmarish, however. Just the way I like it.
