View Full Version : I'm Truly Impressed

I just wanted to say that I'm quite impressed with how quickly, smoothly, and professionally this site has been created, as well as populated. I'd also like to thank those who have been so welcoming to so many different people (welcoming me as well), and also personally thank those who dislike me for not being unwelcoming! :)

I'm not surprised at how well things have begun here, given the good folks who are running things, but it bears mentioning all the same. Triple-A job, CoG admins/mods/staff/contributors! Very, very well done.

I'd also like to say that my former haunt, which I still haunt, feels a bit like a ghost town...pun intended, I suppose.

If you had said haunt one more time in that sentence, it would have been a world record.

True story.

I really have missed many, many of you all. Some very cool people here! :) Hi rini! Still dangerchanraar? Hope so! :)

Great to see you Johan, you still teaching and if so how goes your school year, ours has been interesting to say the least.

Still teaching. It has been a difficult year for our school and our students. One of my students lost her dad unexpectedly, another's sister committed suicide, we had a major fire that did a lot of damage (over a million dollars worth), and on...

It seems every year we have bad things happen, but we're a big school, so the statistics point toward that happening, I guess.

I was named teacher of the year by the local branch of a major international business, as well! No joke...and I wasn't even the only one in the running, either! ;) I guess I'm not a bitter, cynical, burned-out shell yet!

Johan, you were missed. Though, your post padding in threads wasn't missed that much, your well though out posts were. Glad to see you back!

For the speaker to be able to see the impressive, note the impressive, then speak about that which is impressive, can only show how impressive the speaker is.

Very nice Johan, congrats. We are a small school, 300ish students. We have had our share of events so far this year, but thankfully nothing as major as yours. I can't imagine working in a large school, the year is crazy enough without adding even for into the mix.

I hope you used the past few months to take advantage of $3K sewing machine "perks". ;)

Now stay put and set up shop.

Oh. Fuck...

Hey it's gotta happen sooner or later! ;)

'Course I don't take any of it seriously. Which probably makes it even more annoying, I'd imagine.

In all seriousness, it's great to see you again Johan!

EDIT: Oh and I forgot to comment on this part:

I'd also like to say that my former haunt, which I still haunt, feels a bit like a ghost town...pun intended, I suppose.

I think one reason for that is they let Ryctor back.

Oh. Fuck...

Don't worry...we already know you're willing to do what it takes to put a stop to that! ;)

I'm not planning on being on the boards like the fiend I was at the last site, either. Besides, I'd like to keep my head on my own 'mantle' rather than anyone else's! :)

I don't know what the hell you are talking about, the post pad comments were the funniest.

Johan, arguing in the P&R section was never the same after you left. You irritated me on occasion, but even if I didn't agree with your opinions, I was always impressed with your posts.
In short: Glad you're back.

He's the Goddamned Typical Michael.

For some reason I like that a lot of people are using this as an opportunity to kinda sorta start over.

That looks like extra wide toilet paper. Kinda like Mountain Dew when they introduced the wide mouth can. With Americans getting more and more overwieght wide toilet paper will make the difference. You saw it here first on COG!
