With the Wii controls this is a must have for anyone who didn't play it yet...this looks fantastic.

Metroid Prime is one of my favorite games of all time. Was stolen from me awhile back and I never have replaced it. I should get on that.

Definitely among my top 5 games of all time, so I'll be more than happy to drop $30 for Wii-ness. After all, the game was worth a lot more than $80 to me in the first place.

The best part of the video was how they showed Wii controls in the video. Superimposing the playing hands over the in-game footage is by far the best way to give players a sense of what the game will be like. Previous attempts of shooting a player over their shoulder or doing miniature insets of each hand pale in comparison.

Man that game still looks beutiful. I envy those playing it for the first time.

Nintendo finally admits that the Wii really is just a GC with waggle controls.

As much as I hate the Wii, Metroid Prime is one of my favorite GC and this looks like it'll give me a reason to play through it again.

I'll buy this again for a second time, just 'cause. Like BioShock after it, this is a game I still thoroughly enjoy playing from beginning to end.

I think that Nintendo's been at peace with that for a long time. They had to go the Wii route, though. The GameCube was a failure, and add-ons to exisiting systems are rarely utilized by the majority of developers. With the Wii, Nintendo could court a new market, introduce a new control mechanism, and provide retouched versions of GameCube classics for the audience that never touched a C-Stick.

What? Because they are doing some budget priced ports? That is a ridiculous argument, and a clear example of trolling.

Riddick is being re-released for the 360! Finally, MS admits that the 360 is just a white Xbox with liposuction. Space Invaders was released on XBLA! Finally, MS admits that the 360 is just a rebranded Atari 2600.

What are you talking about. Those ataris still work after 22 years, while you'd be lucky to find a 360 that works after 22 months :D

Damn dude, calm down. I clearly stated on that second line that I hated the Wii, good job on being redundant. But if it makes you feel better, yeah, I do troll the Wii threads but in some of them I actually, sometimes, say I want a Wii.

I'm not being redundant, I'm calling you out for being a damned troll. You can hate something and not be a troll, not that it really makes any sense to hate a video game console.

I must say, that looks pretty good.

I want more FPS/RPG hybrids. In fact, far more.

Again, this is the third time we're gonna go over this: I do troll the Wii threads. Is that the definition of redundancy? Yup. If anyone takes me seriously when it comes to Wii stuff then they need to calm down, take a deep breath and gently scroll over my post. It's pretty easy, when you see a post by a person whose name starts with "divine" just say "oh, it's that silly Wii hater guy, I think I'll keep my sanity and not read his post." The only reason why I bother to post, often negative, stuff about the Wii is 'cause I have the right to and honestly, I don't even take myself seriously most of the time when it comes to talking about the Wii. I love to hate the little machine.

But anyway, like I said in my original post, I'll probably be picking this up 'cause I never did get 100% in the original Prime.

Especially when several community members report your trolling as unnecessary and/or disruptive.

Consider this a warning.

I'd much rather play the Original Prime then Prime 3. Prime 3 bored me to tears, whereas Prime 1 had me glued to my TV from beginning to end.

My apologies then. I didn't know more than one person got annoyed by my, uh, preference of gaming systems. I shall banish myself from anything Wii related from now on.

Ed: I'm having a shit morning too, so I might as well just avoid all CoG interaction for the day. Again, my apologies.

Elysia and Phaaze - the rest you can have. And why they added a retarded story to a series prided on no story is heresy.

I'd buy this for $20.

Great answer. This is probably the best analysis of the Wii and what Nintendo intended with the machine. I know it pisses off a lot of Nintendo fanboys, but it was this or not having Nintendo survive as a hardware Mfg. Now if they only take the waggle out of my Zelda...

This should also be our chance to get the European extras, like additional endings and voiceovers.

You could easily pick up the GC version of Twilight Princess, which lacks waggle.

And progressive scan support.

The back of the case for GC Twilight Princess claims it has progressive scan. I have no way to test it though, so is it just a misprint?

Metroid Prime Wii looks great in the video. Finally, movement and aiming at the same time.

Yeah but lacks pointer aiming for the bow, which is roughly as awesome as waggle slash is suck.

I might have had that wrong, as I only owned the Wii version of TP.

Also, nothing makes up for the amount of suck that first-generation Wii action games exhibited.
