The second Blue Dragon title alongside Blue Dragon Plus for Nintendo DS, this one takes on the form of an RPG, as opposed to Plus' strategy flavoring. He just seemed to be a collection of 'wacky character' cliches from JRPGs. Token comedy/animal/Little Napoleon Complex character with an unhealthy obsession with a young female.

To be honest, I had a bit of affection for Shu, but that's more because I've worked with a whole bunch of Japanese kids who were exactly like him. Other than that, this is one of the few instances where I'd take bland over annoying any day.

-Battle: First action battles for the series -- the kind of action battles one would expect of Namco Bandai Games, creator of the Tales series. There's no cut to battle -- you fight directly on the fields of play and are free to move around.

-Weapon: First time the series has offered action battles where you use weapons. You'll have to strategically use your shadow skills and weapon attacks.

-Shadow: You can switch off between six shadows, each of which have different abilities. You can also raise your shadows as you please.
