So, I've been loving Xbox Live Arcade for the past few weeks just discovering new games to play. Mostly the fact that there are hundreds of titles to choose from and the great Trial version that you are given to use to test out the game before you buy. I'm here to give you a handy guide to hopefully help you make the right decisions to either download the trial version of some of these games or purchase them without giving them a second thought. Here are some of my top picks...

Videos May Contain Spoilers

Poker Smash (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LlxYff_23xo)

Castle Crashers (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=75ctHT3qKFg)
Braid (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=br3Oo1g9nZQ)
Metal Slug 3 (http://www.gametrailers.com/player/29322.html)

If you guys can add anything to the list here....that would be a plus....

Ikaruga is one of my personal favourites, along with Rez. Both excellent examples of scrolling shooters, even if the dynamic difference between the two is huge.

Rather annoyed that I can't get my consoles online where I am... tried almost everything I can think of to no avail so far. That means no more XBLA or PSN games, and I play them almost exclusively...

The single Live Arcade game I invested the most time into was Marble Blast Ultra. I honestly probably played this game more than most $60 titles. I had to get below par time on every single level. The multiplayer was rubbish, but I didn't care about that. Modern day Marble Madness, genius.

My overall fav live title list includes:
Marble Blast Ultra
Geometry Wars 2
Braid
Castle Crashers (though, I still haven't played enough to get the full value out of it)

MS made it happen with the Live Arcade. I own 18 arcade games.... My wallet cries every night I turn on my xbox.

You cannot have a 360 without purchasing Uno. I've met plenty of interesting people while playing, some drunk, some old, some young, but the chicks dig it most. It's a great game to interact with people while not trying to slaughter their brains. It's a great game to unwind with after a long day or a frustrating match on another game.

I'd love to start an Uno Sunday night here at CoG for a bunch of us to play.

Uno is so much fun. It's been forever since I've played, though.

The best part about UNO is that the game on Xbox is cheaper than an actual deck of UNO cards.

I love the game, I like to just chill out and play online all afternoon.

I am always shocked and amazed by all of the people I talk to who have yet to take the plunge and spend ten dollars on what is the greatest game ever made. I am, of course, speaking of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.

I have never played a game that is so addicting, so much fun, and has such amazing graphics and music. I recommend it to anyone who truly enjoys gaming, and honestly, I think it could be a hit with casuals, as well. Buy it today!

My vote goes to Rez for best of the arcade games. Not so say there aren't plenty of other great titles on there, but Rez is just so incredible.

Oh, and can someone please edit the thread title? That's going to make me claw out my eyeballs if this thread stays on top for very long..

I can hardly express how amazing Boom Boom Rocket is. All the better if you have a nice system and can turn the volume way up! The music is fantastic and the gameplay is simple while still challenging, so I can play it for hours without getting bored.

Also, if you don't already own some version of Puzzle Quest, you can get your fix on XBLA. There's an expansion available for download as well.

Catan, Carcasonne, Undertow (It's a blast multiplayer. I remember having alot of fun back when I got it for free. That may be part of why it's so fun) Castle Crashers

Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 and Braid are probably my favorites. I too love the arcade and I have around 40 games for it.

Nobody has metioned Exit yet. That game is very underrated imo. It has a ton of stages and is good for a brain teaser when I am in the mood.

I'm down for a Sunday round of UNO. Wish I would've seen this sooner.

Also, am I the only one finding it hard to chain in Poker Smash? I've watched the computer do it, it is a lot easier than it looks. I need some help with that. Anyone?

Sunday night UNO? I'm in. If not that, then either Catan or Carcassone. Something real casual would be a nice way to wind down on the weekend.

Mannn, you stole what I was going to say.

Actually, no, I was going to say, "No, you're trusty Live Arcade guide." Same idea.

I only got a chance to play the demo (I don't have Live right now,) but Schizoid (http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/s/schizoidxboxlivearcade/) was amazingly great, and was amplified by being able to play it in the same room with my brother. I <3 the game based on the demo alone.

IMO, the trailer doesn't do justice to the frantic "Damn it, where are you going man?! Get over here!" team play that fondly reminded me of games of long ago.
