Dumb Type (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dumb Type) performed at EMPAC (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EMPAC) last night, and I was there to see it. It was incredible. Imagine Samuel Beckett coming back to life and being lightly influenced by wacky Japanese game shows -- not much, just a little. That was what I saw. I was in the third row, dead center.

So, it was great. It was so cynical, and it was so beautiful, and I laughed twice but I feel guilty for it. I suppose I'm going to have to take time later on in my life to see more of this group's work.

So, has anyone else seen anything awesome lately? Or even ever? Anyone seen Dumb Type? How about similar groups? Let's hear it. I'm starting to really get into this whole artsy shindig.

I was curious and went to their homepage. (http://dumbtype.com/) It hasn't been updated in close to three years! So, they portray a world where technology is "a way of life" yet they don't update their own freaking webpage in years?

I need to see a performance. They've already got me laughing! :)

-they are supposed to be funny, right?

Edit: Well...I watched the clip below. I don't get it. I'm sure it's because I'm just old.

Well, here's a sampler of their work. This is from another of their shows, though; not from Voyage. Nothing from Voyage has found its way to the interwebs, it seems:
