Someone sent this to me. I thought it was great, so I figured I'd share it with everyone here.

A thief in Paris planned to steal some paintings from the Louvre.

After careful planning, he got past security, stole the paintings, and made it safely to his van.

However, he was captured only two blocks away when his van ran out of gas.

When asked how he could mastermind such a crime and then make such an obvious error, he replied,

'Monsieur, that is the reason I stole the paintings.'

I had no Monet...

To buy Degas...

To make the Van Gogh.

See if you have De Gaulle to send this on to someone else.

I sent it to you because I figured I had nothing Toulouse.

What? The puns are that bad? Or is there something wrong with the pictures?

Seriously, what's the problem?

I attempting to humourously suggest that the puns were pretty bad OMG WHY?.

It was a toss up between that and demaning your immediate execution for crimes against humanity. :p

How ironic, my art history prof made this exact same joke with almost identical slides not 2 hours ago.

One would assume that this makes the rounds through email forwards.

i.e. Every elderly person with access to a computer has seen it.

I dream of a world where e-mail forwarding is dead.

I laughed, but I was pretty ashamed of myself afterwords.

And Van Gogh when pronounced correctly in Dutch sounds like "cough" without the c. Even further uselessness!

But on the bright side, we all saw the Van Gogh pun coming when the getaway vehicle was a van among all things.
