Another week, another great interview from the Tiger Men. This week we have M. Zach Sherman, writer of Seal Team Seven, Shrapnel & America's Army. He talks about all of his upcoming projects (including a film announcement!), why it's cool to be a geek and how sci-fi can reveal things about our world today. As usual, click here (http://www.colonyofgamers.com/cogforums/showthread.php?p=169605) to join the discussion, and for a look at what you'll find in stores, head over to Diamond (http://previewsworld.com/public/default.asp?t=2&m=1&c=6&s=428)
Picks of the Week
Agents Of Atlas #1 - Sometimes, the good guys win out. Agents of Atlas was one of the pleasant surprises of 2006; a book which came out of nowhere to tell a great story using a cast of all but forgotten characters. This book will be more firmly rooted in the current continuity of the Marvel U, aka Dark Reign. If you've picked up a Marvel comic in the last month or so you've probably seen the previews, but for the uninitiated. The Agents were characters published in the 50s by the company which would later be known as Marvel, but was then called Atlas Comics. For the most part the characters were forgotten until the Agents mini a few years back.
War Of Kings Darkhawk #1 - Now this brings me back. Darkhawk was in many ways the quintessential 90s character. A cool look, some flashy powers, and very little approaching characterization. The book eventually floundered during the speculator's bust, but the concept was cool enough to continue to pop up every so often. This mini is set to cast him in a major role in the upcoming War of Kings event. And I for one can't wait.
Question of the Week - Sci-Fi has been a staple of comics since day one. But sci-fi, and good sci-fi are two different things. So, What existing sci-fi property would you most like to see redone, and maybe even expanded upon, in comic form?
