How many minutes or hours do you spend a day here on CoG?

Mostly late night and in the spaces between classes. It's a great time killer.

I can't go outside, it hurts. Yet I manage to spend less time here... Could be because of ravelry, spend way too much time there

I put 3+ hours; I'd probably spend more, though, if the site would stop crashing IE.

Probably 1-3 on a given day, but I am always logged on...and checking subscriptions through email...and checking my RSS feed...and...damn I'm always around I guess.

When I'm in front of my computer, CoG is always open in a tab. This includes the entire time I'm at my desk doing homework, so it's probably more than three hours per day. I don't consider it wasted time anyway, but I'm usually doing other things. Writing papers, note-taking, whatever. If I look at the time I spend actively reading and replying to discussions, then it's probably a more sane 20-30 minutes a day.

I'd estimate at least 4 to 6 hours a day. I have to watch my kids in the morning/afternoon, so I spend at least three hours during that time. And at night when I get home from work? Depends on if I feel like playing a game or not, but sometimes I'll at least spend an hour or two when I get home.

I normally always leave my browser open in half my screen. It's usually always on this page :D

Uhh, three hours on a forum? Sheesh.
I'd say about ten minutes for myself. Give or take a few.

Hmm yeah, hard to tell really. The browser tab is open 24/7 and I usually check it whenever I'm not doing anything else. I'm gonna choose not to put a number on it :P

Meh. I think for most people, like myself, it probably just stays open in the background. I work from home, on my computer, so it is just sort of there and I click to it in between tasks.

CoG is a part of the standard 5 websites I always refresh when I sit down at a computer and before I leave a computer. During the day this adds up something fierce.
A reasonable amount of time. I'm waiting for Mags to pop his head in :p

About an hour, but that's just I read quick, and check back relatively frequently. On the rare slow homework day, I won't know what to do with myself and will spend three to four hours staring at the board willing it to move faster (it doesn't.)
That's right, I forget to even play video games.

CoG has that effect.
(A video game oriented site that makes you not play vidjagames. Strange thing)

Posting on a forum is akin to mental fiber for me; it's a bit like moving the shit out of my head, keeping the cognitive pipes cleaned out! :D

Used to be about an hour a day. Then Websense added it to their blocked sites at work. Now I'm lucky if I can swing by for 10 min a day.

Yeah man. EvD, you really need to lose some weight. It's getting kind of gross, actually. :p

It's embarrassing just being seen with you.
Also: weren't you going to bed or something? Like an hour ago?

When I say I go to bed, I almost never actually go to bed.
Sometimes I do.
I get more distracted than a kid with ADD at a Best Buy.

That analogy makes absolutely no sense. However, I was able to get exactly what you meant from it.

I, like many of you, keep it open in tabs, but I really only refresh my subscription, read any new posts there and occasionally peruse the forums, but it probably doesn't add up to more than 1-2 hours of activity on the site.

I have both. Which includes stalking mags on here.

What kid are you seeing with ADDGirl? Damn, she had a kid and I never knew...hmmm...does it look Rock Bandit?
I think there needs to be a special MagGnome section of time on here. Put me in that category too :o

I have it open in a Firefox tab constantly while at work, between that and what I do at home, I'd say I'm actually looking at the site for about an hour a day.
Now, how much time I spend following the Santa/Gnome romance...let's not get into that :)

How did I miss this thread?
I know several of you think I am here 24/7, but it's probably 3 hours a day or so of actual forum reading. It used to be more, but COG is now blocked at work.
Still, 3 hours is more than enough.

How did you indeed. And although you are only on now for 3 hours...you type an awful lot of posts in that short amount of time. That might explain the typos :p

I'd say an hour or so a day. This is a site I frequent when I'm doing something on my computer, I tend to pop in for a few minutes many times throughout the day.

I do manage to send quite a few posts in that amount of time, but they are all extremely thoughtful and provocative. :D

Actually, with one very recent exception (probably what you are referring to), I always read the entire thread before posting.
