This Week, on the Rock Band music platform: Thin Lizzie, Nikko, The Pretenders and Pat Benetar.

First is a Thin Lizzie track pack, which includes the songs:
“Boys are Back in Town”
“Jailbreak”
“Cowboy Song”

The songs are taken from the soon to be released "Still Dangerous: Live At The Tower Theater" live album from 1977, so they're master tracks, but also live tracks.

Also available this week:
Pat Benatar “Hit Me with Your Best Shot”
The Pretenders “Precious”
Nikko “Break My Heart”
Nikko “Don’t Tell Me”

The "Thin Lizzie" track pack will cost 440 MSP/$5.50. The Nikko tracks will sell for 80 MSP/$1, while all of the other individual tracks will run you 160 MSP/$2. As usual the tracks will be available on Xbox Live this Tuesday, and on PSN this Thursday.

My first instinct is, "Live tracks?! Arrgh!" Then I realized that I haven't really played any live tracks. So how are they? I know some of the Who tracks are live and the AC/DC tracks are live. I'd think a live track would be a rather annoying alternative to a regular master, but how do they sound/play?

I don't find they sound any different. I have the AC/DC disc and a couple of the Who tracks and I don't notice a difference between live and non-live.

will pick up the Thin Lizzy tracks execpt for Cowboy Song, Pat Benatar.. possibly the Nikko tracks, heard the songs this morning and they sound pretty good and would be run to play.
