This was just announced by Irem Software. Not much is known about the game other than:
- The game takes place in Central Island.
- Naoki Kosaka and Saki Honjo will have to survive in the city.
- Managing stress is important in the game in order to keep your life bar up.

I know most people know Irem for R-Type, but I always think of Steambot Chronicles when I think of them. While hoping for a sequel to that, this looks pretty nice. Maybe Atlus will pick it up when the time comes.

Nice to see you here. :)
Thanks. I tried going cold turkey on any sort of forum visiting, but it only lasted a few weeks. Not a lot of self-restraint.

On topic, this looks pretty cool, I've never played any of the games in the series before. I know, I really should have by now.

Is that a sequel or a remake? One of those scenes was in the original. I like the nicer graphics, but I hoped they fixed the load times. That was why I stopped playing the original.

Man, I really need to play more of Steambot Chronicles. I loved the demo and have the full game but have barely played it.... like a lot of JRPGs in my stack :(
I'm also curious if Bumpy Trot 2 is a remake or sequel to SBC...
Back on topic, I still haven't had a satisfactory answer about whether or not this SOS 3 game is actually a new game in the Disaster Report/Raw Danger line or if it's something completely new. Give me a Disaster Report on the PSP with nice graphics like that and I'll be in heaven.

S.O.S.: The Final Escape is the name of the franchise in Europe, so yes, this is the follow up to Raw Danger.

It doesn't look like a remake. It seems like a lot of things happen in that trailer Gorvi posted that I don't remember from the game.
I must admit, I really enjoyed Steambot Chronicles, but it's got to be the only game I've ever played while reading a book. Seriously, navigating towns while in your robot is so time-consuming and boring (and automated), that you feel like you need to do something else while it's happening. If we ever see the sequel, I hope that's not as much of a problem.

Didn't realize until everyone else was posting that this is a Disaster Report game. I never got around to playing one of those, but have always been curious. Still need to do that...

OMG Bad Day L.A., only worth playing. You've never had the pleasure of playing Disaster Report, I take it. Not technically the best game, but it's hard to argue when you are trying to outrun a skyscaper that's falling on you or hopping from rooftop to rooftop to escape a tsunami.

Thank you for that, Spig. Yes, thank you very much.
Now all I gotta do is find a copy...
EDIT: Oh but wait, this appears to be the third version of Disaster Report, according to the Wiki this is the NA/Euro name. Well then, bring it on.

That said, Raw Danger just didn't click as well as the first game did. Here's hoping a bit more polish on the third game will address the issues I had with Raw Danger and make for a more fun experience akin to the original.

Very nice. It's sad that the game on the PSP looks so much nicer than Raw Danger did on the PS2...

There's also a demo on the Japanese PSN for anyone interested. I'd grab it myself, but it won't work on my firmeware yet. :(

Damn. Apparently no relation to this S.O.S. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SOS_(video_game)) That game rules. Though apparently fragments of the developer who made that SOS are also behind Steel Batallion and Infinite Space.
