Screen Display Problem?

So, I'm hoping some of you computer guru's can help me out here.

So, I got this new Studio Dell desktop comp with a digital 20" monitor. Until recently it's worked fine. But lately every time I turn on the monitor my screen display is shifted to the right for some reason?

This is the entire screen mind you..meaning I would have to keep my eyes shifted to the right with my mouse going off screen to try and click stuff on the right of my interface here.

Any ideas as to why this suddenly starts happening?

You should be able to navigate through some menus, and find an option to scoot the whole screen over.

See if that fixes it.

Note: I meant using the buttons on the monitor itself.

There's a black space on the left side of the screen every time it happens...

Does it exhibit the same behaviour if you boot into safe-mode? That can help determine if its a hardware or software issue...

Otherwise, as mentioned previously, try adjusting the monitor manual settings, if you can. Can you try a different monitor on this machine? Or try your monitor on a different machine?

Biosc1 idea of checking safe mode is a great way of checking.

You could also try resetting the monitor itself through the controls on the lcd itself.
