As co-op gaming continues to grow, we are seeing it find it's way into other genres. This year we saw real time strategy game Red Alert 3 create an entire campaign around co-op play; now Relic is entering the fray with Dawn of War 2 for the PC. Promising to deliver drop in and drop out play through the entire campaign in two player co-op is no easy task. Co-Optimus gets the goods from the Relic team on how the co-op mode works and more!

So I took it as Player 1 has Hero + 2 squads while player 2 has 2 squads for a total of 5?

I am so hyped for this.

Cool, I had forgotten this game would have co-op.

Only by standing together can the servants of the Emperor cast down the alien, the heretic and the mutant.

Well, the alien anyway. Heretics and mutants will have to wait for the expansion packs.

I am finishing the final faction I haven't played in Soul Storm. Finished the single player with every team except the Imperial Guard - look forward to seeing all of them back together in DoW 2 in some near future.

Especially the Tau. I like them.

Good to see the campaign getting more loving this time around. I'm more interested in the campaign part of RTSs (and TBSs) than the multiplayer (or perhaps it would be more acurate to say "competitive") part. The first game was really pretty weak in this regard (I know there's only so many $$ and manhours to go around and you can't please everyone. The point I'm making is this is good news for me and selfishly I like that:D)

Oh great, now people have to make the inevitable comparison between the DOW II threads and the SC II threads.

It's good to see Relic fans are actually inovating in the field of complaining about having only one race in the single player campaign.

:p

No, no, no. That wasn't complaining! That was comedy gold! Well...maybe silver...

Okay, comedy lead...

Complaining would've involved lots of CAPS, poor grammar, and many, many misspellings. Possibly also a not-at-all thinly veiled questioning of the developer's parentage and sexual preferences in regards to goats. ;)

Why'd you let him get away with regurgitating GWFL and Steam marketing BS?

Not much I can do in a Q&A.
