The F.U.D.Cast returns in the new year, albeit a bit late - we dive into 2K Games thriller, Bioshock. Join Mot, Violent, UWCrash, HereticMachine, Gasherman, and our newest full-time panelist Ghostbear as we discuss the term ‘exploit’ as it refers to games such as this, whether or not this truly is the successor to System Shock, and completely lose our minds on the concept of games that’re “too easy”. Have any questions/comments/concerns for us? Write us at fudcast@gameradio.us! Thanks for listening!

Nice, I've been wondering where you guys went.

We've had some outside-force issues that have been keeping us from recording, but we're back now. We'll be doing another 3-week period because of the super bowl, but after that, back to bi-weekly.

Enjoying all of your shows. You might want to repeat the warning from your first show about spoilers and the general nature of the show on future episodes. Its good to warn podcast newcomers.

Probably a good idea that we do remind of the spoilers. And hooker jokes.

I disagree.

Hooker jokes should appear frequently and without warning. You know, like real hookers.

What about "dropping pounds with cancer"? I wasn't even ready for that one. Seriously, these people need to learn to stop me from talking sometimes.

oh yeah ... forgot to mention your first episode has inspired me to get past the silent hill 2 controls and try it again. Have download both 2 and 3 from gametap and will attempt again.

You using a controller? If so, make sure you change the control from 2d to 3d. Or, the other way around, I forget. Point is, it's the other one you want.

Before it was mouse and keyboard; I am now trying with an xbox controller. Thanks for the hint about the control types - the choice is "rotational" and "directional" I believe "directional" is the good one.

So when I heard this the first time it reminded me how awesome this game was to play. I recently played through again to finally unlock the "Hard Playthrough no vita chambers" achievement on 360 that was patched in until after I beat the game the first two times. Whenever I died I reloaded my prior save (it happened once or twice) so I figured I was a lock for the achievement. Beat the game tonight and didn't receive it. My 100 precious gamerscore!! Lost forever! But in all seriousness I love this game and thanks go out to you guys for convincing me to play through again.

The one thing that is flawed about the game most in my mind (beyond the last 2 hours of the game) is the fact that gunplay feels very underpowered in the late game. I find using the wrench to bash in skulls drops splicers faster than the machine gun. More tonics that beef gunplay vs tonics that beef up your wrench abilities would have been nice.

I certainly went all wrench on this one. It's a case of not fixing what's broken. Electobolt and wrench was as effective for me towards the end as it was the beginning(with a little help from plasmids, of course). The only real guns I used were the shotgun, the machine gun and the crossbow though, I would only take them out during big daddy fights.

The game truly is a marvel which is why the concerns towards the end of the show came up.

Once I got security bullseye early in the game most of the big daddy fights involved me tagging them with security bullseye by a camera and letting the bots slowly chip away at their health.

Looking forward to the Dead Space episode.
