View Full Version : [DS] Suggestion Thread

Everyone vs Dinosaurs
10-03-2008, 09:59 PM
Hey fellow handholders, I remember back at EvAv we had a suggestion thread, where we can all suggest our favorite games for the DS. Post your favorite, and I'll add it to the list!
I also have linked all of them to IGN, for the Lazy Bones Joneses that are out there, and I included the suggester's name, so if you have any questions, you can direct them towards that person.

I have to second The World Ends With You; it's one of my favorite DS games. I also enjoyed Advance Wars: Days of Ruin.

Ace Attorney: Phoenix Wright
Ace Attorney: Phoenix Wright: Justice For All
Ace Attorney: Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations
Ace Attorney: Apollo Justice
Hotel Dusk: Room 215
Professor Layton and the Curious Village
Final Fantasy IV

I know it's more than one game, but you can't make me choose. :D

(And damn, previewing this shows me that other people already beat me, but I'm going to click submit anyway.)

Edit: And I have to go along with most of what the others said too. I wanted to add a few more games, but this post was me actually trying to limit myself. :p

Trace Memory is good, as mentioned in another thread.

JRR006

Hotel Dusk: Room 215
Professor Layton and the Curious Village
Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords (For me, the combination of stylus and portability is unbeatable.)
Animal Crossing: Wild World

I've got a lot of other DS games, but these are my no-contest favorites.

Geez this is going to take a while to link to all of them, haha.

If you see any doubles let me know!

If I missed it, sorry.

Tetris DS. It's hard, if not impossible, to find new but new or used, it's totally worth it!

Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan should be imported by anyone that liked Elite Beat Agents.
The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass.
Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time.

Put 'em up.

What is Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan like?

Just like Elite Beat Agents only with japanese songs and male cheerleaders instead of secret agents. It was my favourite game soundtrack of the year when it came out.

That sounds absolutely terrifying.

What was that game that had a tranny playing it?

EvD, one of the things about the recommendations list at the other site that was especially useful, in my mind, was that each person was limited to one recommendation.

It created a much more focused list of really awesome titles, and made people really consider their recommendations carefully. I'm still considering what to recommend, myself.

Also, it would be awesomely helpful if the titles were alphabetically arranged.

Nice idea for a thread. :)

I totally agree with you, in fact, when I made the thread, I thought people were only going to recommend their favorite game (the reason why I only said one). But multiple people put lists, so I rolled with it.

I also like the idea of alphabetically arranged, I will work on that.

Trauma Center: Under The Knife would be my pick, although I personally found it got quite difficult later on in the game.

If we're going with one choice I'd still say Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan is my favourite DS game by far. But its Morangie, not Moragie :)

Second this. This above EO I since EO II makes a lot of improvements to the game.

Also, Izuna 2 (http://www.amazon.com/Izuna-Unemployed-Ninja-Returns-Nintendo-DS/dp/B0014X4MIS/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1223303328&sr=8-1) and Dragon Quest IV (http://www.amazon.com/Dragon-Quest-IV-Chapters-Nintendo-DS/dp/B001AF1NVY/ref=pd_bbs_10?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1223303328&sr=8-10)

Is this thread still maintained? Seems to be lacking Scribblenauts and some newer DS games.
