Interesting direction and style, the CPU is still rife will bullshit cheating, though (at least in the Flash version)... hopefully they'll adjust it for retail (or maybe add a difficulty slider?), but this was the primary reason I stopped playing the original PQ.

The fact that the gems come in from all sides gives this a weird dynamic. I can't seem to predict where the gems will shift, which is both good and bad, in a way.

I don't understand how it determines which direction the blocks fall from. It just seems random to me.

It depends on the direction you're swapping pieces in. Swap a piece to the left, everything falls to the left. Swap to the SE corner, everything falls SE, etc.

But, yes, it does get hard to plan ahead.
