Steam+Empire: Total War=awesome

Really great to see that MP will be more robust this time around. I was never able to get into MP with the previous Total War games, but this is looking too good to pass up. I might have missed it, but doesn't this confirm no expansive multiplayer campaign scenario?

Looking good, kinda disappointed that this and DoW2 are coming out so close together, would be nice if the spread them out a bit.

The naval stuff in particular is looking fantastic. I can see myself spending a lot more time in the real-time battles than I used to.

If someone would have bet me that SEGA would publish a colonization era RTS title 10 years ago, I'd never have believed them.

This video finally reveals some interesting details of the land battles. Their implementation of gunpowder weapons has always been a bit spotty, especially in Medieval 2. If you pause the video at the right time, you can now see that there are visible fire arcs for both infantry and ships. This means they'll probably not have to wheel to fire at something a little to the side, and that the fire will be more consistent.

This looks amazing. I love that they are partnering so closely with Steam.

I've never played any of the previous Total War games, outside of demos, but I've always been interested in the series. I'll definitely check this one out.

I'm glad Creative Assembly is back on the PC. Hopefully they are rewarded with robust sales.

Yay. Started checking up on gaming laptops today. With so many great PC games coming out no way I'm missing any of these.

So, I was checking out E:TW's Steam page to check the release date and they have two editions of the game for sale. A regular and special forces edition. The difference? Six unique units and $20 tacked onto the regular games price. Fucking incredible CA is doing this. But, what makes me really pissed is how much I want those unique units. But twenty fucking dollars?

There may be light at the end of the tunnel. Reading through this thread (http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=217273) and there may be a collectors edition with the unique units plus some other shit for $70. Thing is, I think its only available in Europe.

Really not what I was expecting from CA. Medieval II had one of the best game packages when it was released. The game had a two disc documentary (that was awesome), game soundtrack, map, and unit/structure chart all for regular price.

I'm sure there'll be a crack/mod to enable those unique units within 3 days of release.

Possibly something to do with the new publisher? I've no idea how these sorts of deals work.

God. This makes me wish I had a good PC. I would lose so many hours in this game (judging by the amount of hours I lost to Rome: Total War).

Okay, it's bugging the shit out of me. Who's voicing that trailer?

Brian Blessed? He's done work for Creative Assembly in the past.

I Don't think so. My speakers didn't explode, so it can't be Blessed.

I don't recognise the voice actor.

It is the same publisher for both Games. Since CA was bought by Sega back in '05.

Whoops. I got my timing wrong. I was thinking of Rome. My bad.

I don't get the $20 thing either.
