View Full Version : I Love Target
Just left Target. While I was there I picked up Skate (PS3) for 9.99. They also had Lost Oddyssey (360) for 15,00. I do not know if Lost Oddyssey was a misprint ticket or not. I'm not sure if I should make separate threads for Target deals or not because they always have something on clearance. Last time I was there I picked up Kingdom Under Fire:Circle of Doom (360) for 9.99. I also think YMMV at each Target location.

It's a shame I don't find myself at Target all that often - the one in town usually has some cool things for very cheap, and Target is infinitely preferable to Gamestop. You've made me want to go poke around... hmm, perhaps I conveniently, desperately need some new socks.

Now I've gotta swing by Target... I've been looking for Skate at a decent price for a while.

Lost Odyssey only recently dropped from $60 to $40, retail, so $15 is a heckuva deal.

I picked up Tiger Woods 08 for $7.98 last week. I know the new one came out, but still a killer deal. They also have good deals on golf accessories from time to time.

I really like Target, aside from one thing. I think they don't allow the Christmas "Ringers" to stand outside their stores, because they feel it lowers their image.
I could be misinformed though.

Huh, I thought I saw some last year (but I wasn't really paying attention).
Eh, a month and a half and we'll know for sure.

This past Sunday I happened to snag Blast Works: Build, Trade, Destroy for the Wii on clearance for $10 at Target. Fantastic deal.

That's a reason for me to like them. I hate those annoying, pushy fuckers. If you want my money, you can ask for it politely. If it is a decent cause, I have no problem giving. If you ring a loud bell arhythmically ad nauseum, no, I will not give you money. Hell, they don't even stop once you pay them off, the dicks.

If I remember correctly, they are through St. Vincent de Paul's, and goes towards homeless people in need.
Wow that was the most Johan sounding post I have ever written.
Not that that is bad thing ;)
I wish we could get these kind of deals over here in the UK. Stuff just doesn't seem to get that cheap over here. :(

Target is my little gaming secret. Well, not that little since I'm a Cheapassgamer.com watcher like many others. I've scored some really great games there.

The Target in my hometown was awesome...always a bunch of games (mostly crap, but still) in the clearance bin. Now? The bargain bin is a wasteland, or possibly non-existent.
Still, I love Target. I'll drive an extra few miles just so I can avoid what I like to call "The Wal Mart Crowd."

The Target in my town tends to have decent discounts/sales, but does not use a bargain bin, so if you are literally looking in the bargain bin, you may just want to look in the regular display case to see if anything is marked down to an exceptionally low price.

Maybe we should start our own Target trade circle. I know I wanted a bunch of games in the past that weren't at mine so I bought some that were and we traded at CheapAssGamer. It's a pretty good thing. I grabbed Simpsons game, Stranglehold, and a few others that way. But trading with non-greedy CoGmen would be even better.

I love Target so much. I'll generally go in looking for one thing, but make a point of hitting up the various clearance endcaps throughout the store because their clearance sales rule. Last time I was in they didn't have any gaming deals that interested me, but I did pick up a few comfortable ass button up linen shirts for like $6 and a MS mini optical mouse for like $3.75.

What the fuck are you talking about? They clearly have a clearance area. I got Bourne Conspiracy from the bargain bin for $15 last Sunday and traded it for Soul Calibur 4 at my store.

Everything I've gotten has been in the locked glass case, but marked down to $15-20 * shrug *

Man, don't get me started on Big Red. Love that goddamn store. Anytime I can crawl my way out with less than $100 in stuff (well, when I'm working and have money lol) is an amazing day!

Look on the end caps of the sales racks in the electronics section even over by the printer carts, cell phones, etc. That's where my Target hides all of the gaming bargains.

Same here, and that's just me and my mom hopping in there whenever we drive by during our schedules.
I'm always checking the bargain games area. UT3 for PS3 was marked down to $23.94, as well as the Prince Caspian game. Not a whole lot else as of late.

Last year I got STALKER (or STALAKER, you monkeys!) for $14, they had the Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War Gold (with the first expansion) for $7 and the CE for Crysis for $28.
This year, the Madden 09 CE got marked down to $60 within the first week of release.

My Target has the same type of setup. I picked up UT3 for the PS3 for $20 two weeks ago. I doubt most people even know that extra games are shelved there.

That would be an exceptional reason, as to why.
Oh well.
I already have enough on my gaming plate, with Mario and Luigi: PiC, and Spore.

Working at Target, I get to be there the morning stuff is marked down. So if you are an Omaha store and never find anything good, I'm sorry. :D
Targets in my area mark down Electronics on Monday mornings. Not sure if that is nationwide or not. Clearance in bulk happens before an area reset, which is happening soon in Electronics. Check the game cases and back endcaps for clearance games.
Hope it helps!
