So, five mods they put up:

Age of Chivalry, D.I.P.R.I.P., Insurgency, Synergy, and Zombie Panic.


Not *one* single player mod? Screw you, Valve.

I sort of agree - hopefully later releases will rectify this.

Insurgency is awesome.

The do host single player and solo play mods, what do you think Gary's Mod is. The issue is that the more prominent mods are multiplayer ones.

What game/games are required for the mods?

Anything Source Engine. That would include:

Half Life 2
Half Life 2 Episode 1
Half Life 2 Episode 2
Team Fortress 2
Left 4 Dead
Portal
Day of Defeat: Source
Counterstrike: Source

I'm pretty sure that's everything. Also, if you don't own anything to play these mods, the Steam Weekend Deal is Half Life 2 Episode 1 for 4.99.

Just downloaded zombie panic source. Haven't tried this version before but was a huge fan of the one for the original hl. Anyone up for trying this out later on? Would be cool to get the CoG Steam group in on it.

I played this a bunch last night and tonight. Some maps are a bit hard to navigate at first, but it's a lot of fun! I like playing as a zombie far more than being a survivor. :D

this last saturday i played zombie panic for nearly 5 hours. Yeah I could hardly belive it myself, I had a pretty good time with it. It's by no means a perfect experiance, but it has made me crave for Left 4 Dead something fierce.

I like survivor more just because as you get down to few people it gets so intense as you try and out maneuver the zombie well slowly killing them. I have only see survivors win once, and it was me and one other guy in the end that were the only once left. It was so fun near the end when we knew the zombies were out of respawns because they started being really cautious and it just added to the overall intensity.

I could have sworn I posted something in here the other night, but I just wanted to say that the zombie mod is excellent and I had a ton of fun playing with BrassGecko even though (especially because) he was stalking me.

I'm definitely going to play the mod again...but I'm falling so damn far behind mah boi's on Warhammer... :(

My favorite part was playing as whitey and shoving a survivor down a maintenance shaft, and hearing him curse over the mic just before he hit bottom. :D
