Anyone playing Combat Mission: Shock Force?

I used to play Combat Mission all the time years back, but only just realized that they released a new updated game called Shock Force. I am just curious if anyone played those old Battlefront games and if anyone plays them still.

Ah hah... yeah, I definitely played those.

Shock Force was a huge disappointment. It was released about a year too early, and only now have patches improved the game to a playable level.

Still, it's not a bad game as it is now. I suggest giving one of the patched demos a try.

Wow, I totally missed this game. But, considering the reviews it was getting, its not really surprising that it never filtered its way down to me. I love military sims, and I really dig that its a RTS. I'll totally check out the demo. I also picked up Strategic Command Pacific Theater, I loved the original.

I am enjoying Shock Force, though even on my machine which runs AoC, Crysis, and other games at very high details, SF can bring it to it's knees.
