I saw this video over at Kotaku. Supposedly, it's a alpha gameplay video of Star Wars: Battlefront 3 (http://kotaku.com/5131846/leaked-star-wars-battlefront-3-gameplay-footage).

If this is real it makes me very sad that Free Radical is gone. This looks amazing!

Amazing's a pretty strong word for what that was. I mean...maybe you are amazed by a dude running forward, but it takes a bit more for me.

Yeah but there was no multiplayer. When I say force pushing people off ledges I was pushing other players of, not silly NPCs.

I really loved the first one, but never got a chance to play the second. I hope this one turns out well as I'm kind of longing to return to the series. I would just pick up the second, but I'm sure that the servers are seriously dead by now.

The sequel had some really good improvements over the first, and a few steps back. The Space battle levels were really good and it had mini-achievements that let you boost your equipment, but I felt the character classes didn't quite sit right with the premise of the game.

Lucasarts should create a new Jedi Knights game with the SW: TFU engine. Developed by Raven.

I love more of the same. The other Battleground games required a lot of running too. Running into place, into the fight, and out of bad situations. But the flying, and increased details to saber fights mean we might be able to play as a jedi class and that would kick ass.

I enjoyed Battlefront 2 a great deal. It's a pity that I never got to play it online. Even so, there are some improvements that need to me made. They need to make more differences between the factions. The only differences between them were their heavy units and their commanders. That's some difference, but not enough. There was NO difference between being a Rebel sniper or a Imperial sniper (or any other basic unit, for that matter) other than the character models and the look of the weapons. That kind of frustrated me.

No, I think if you are Obi Wan and you really became a bad ass dark jedi, it would probably corrupt your body and shit. If you look at the details, you see they were borrowing from other sith. If Obi Wan became a dark sider though wouldn't he most likely end up like Arthas.

Take a look at the 2nd more fully developed image that was posted... which has stuff drawn from the emperor and a number of other sources. For the most part when you take a good/bad jedi and swap them around the outcome will be cried at by some people beacuse it's either predictable or typical despite the fact they may already be so. If that makes sense. I rather like where they where going with this.

I liked both concepts. Dark Jedi/Sith look like shit more often than not. Gives them character I guess. Sidious was just weird, all clean looking. But in retrospect, he doesn't seem like a real dark sider either.

The first thing that came to mind when I saw the first one was "Obi-Wan Kenobi, as designed by Todd McFarlane". The second one doesn't seem as bad, although it still kind of rubs me the wrong way. He's just so obviously and stereotypically evil looking in those shots. The only thing missing is the visible aura of menace.

Actually, I think he's gone beyond the simple evil of the sith. He looks practically undead. In fact, now that I've got that in my head it's impossible for me to not see a zombie in either of those pics. Just add a little blood around the mouth and beard, maybe put some mean eyes on him...

Ok, I've decided. I'm going to withdraw my earlier criticism, but only if they decide to make this game about zombie Kenobi. Assuming that Rebellion even uses any of the old material. I've read some articles about the whole thing, but nobody seemed to know if the Obi-Wan stuff was staying in.
