View Full Version : Photography - Anyone doing Project 365?

Just curious if anyone is doing Project 365?

My girlfriend and I are doing it. I am tracking it via a daily (so far) Flickr Post (http://www.flickr.com/photos/ryfter/sets/72157612037202892/), Twitter links (http://twitter.com/rifter), and a weekly blog post (http://atomicego.com/kevin/2009/01/project-365/). I started on Jan 01. Figured it would be a good starting point. :-) Oh, and I also post my pictures to this Project 365 Flicr group (http://www.flickr.com/groups/project_365/).

I have been wanting to do this for a while, and my GF popped up with the idea just before New Year's day. I am also using this to play with social media (Twitter, and my twitter feeds feed into my Facebook status).

So, anyone else doing this? You should post pictures and/or post links to your works!

If I had my camera (it's still at my old house) I would do this.

A lot of people do it from their cellphones. You can only take the "same" picture so many times, before you start looking for creative ways to take a picture. Even a cell phone camera will push you artistically.

Sadly the camera in my cellphone is pretty crappy. Still, that's part of the challenge, right?

THAT, it is. :-) You know, I can buy a "lens kit" that is basically a CRAPPY plastic lens, and tiny aperture (not adjustable)... to produce a "crappy look" that you have built in! Honestly, there are people that learn to embrace that, and can make some truly great pictures with what I would consider, crap.

Have a look at this iphone photo contest (http://www.kelbytraining.com/iphonecontest/). These winners took AWESOME pictures. If your phone is like the G1, it is still not quite that quality, but it shows what someone working with what little they have, can accomplish.
