$5 for it all on steam this weekend should I buy it? I am assuming people will be saying yes.

Yes.
Or at least that's what I would say if I could get Steam to work.

I have an inkling I probably wouldn't even play them and I'm still contemplating buying them at $5.

I bought them as a set. Mostly for Interceptor. I love that game.

I guess I really need to try Interceptor.
I grabbed the pack when they were originally released and played a bit of the original.
Good news is that they have updated TFTD to support Vista now :)

Will these all work with Vista?

I'm right there with you. I bought them knowing that I probably won't play them. I hear good things though! Also picked up a couple other games that were a buck on their huge sale, and probably won't touch them. Oh well, I'll always have them through Steam, so a quick download and game of something is always an option.

Dude, X-Com is fucking amazing. If you haven't tried it yet, you owe it to yourself to do at least one play through.

Yup...I've tried each one on 32-bit Vista. They're mostly done through DOSBox...and the speed is dead on.
There really is no better way to play these games...though, maybe playing in a 4:3 window or getting a custom widescreen resolution would make life a little better ;)

Interceptor is, for lack of a better description, XCom meets Wing Commander. It's fun but not great, but it played to my desires to see my SKILL as the dependant aspect of my successes, not random luck.
It also didn't require as much patience.

Interceptor really needs a joystick as well...all the more reason to grab my dusty stick out of my closet. I just fear taking it out because it means I'll probably buy IL2: Sturmovik off of Steam as well :(

Man, loved the original and its sequel. Have both on my tower. Really should play that again.

I'm really tempted by this deal, but I bought so many games last week.
Hell, I know I'm going to buy them. :D
I'm also really tempted to pick up Fallout 3 from GoGamer for $32, but I need to hold off on that one for a bit longer.

I ended up buying them. I played the hell out of the original X-Com when it first came out. I even had a method down to set up different squads a'la Warhammer 40k with my psycher squad, heavy squad, scout squad.
Hell, they were only $5.
