I really want to upgrade my 360 to the NXE, mainly so I can start installing games to the HDD. Unfortunately, I can't hook the console up to the internet without some major moving. I know when Microsoft announced NXE, they said they would eventually available for offline consoles. I've found the patch through 3rd party websites, but nothing that's actually on a MS page. Has anybody tried upgrading through this? Or can anyone with an MS connection point me to an official source for the patch, if any exists yet? Thanks a ton.
Also, if I can find a way to get the SDTV patch for Banjo-Kazooie: N&B, I'd be mega-happy.

i believe the NXE update is available on the offical xbox mag disc.
the patch for B&K might be a little more tricky though.

Alright cool; it had a link to xbox.com that contained the actual folder, so no worries that I was downloading something shady. I have a release 360 (well, within a few weeks of it anyway), and the last thing I need is to unwittingly void the warranty. Of course I'm not sure if even the 3-year warranty is still active on this guy... I should check into that

As an alternative you can take a 360 HDD that has the NXE on it (a nearby friend maybe?) and attach it to your 360 and start it up. It will install the NXE (sans Avatars) and allow you to install games. Worked for my brother who has no broadband.
I think a game has already shipped with an NXE installer on the disc, but I can't recall offhand which game it was.
