It was, indeed, the Banana Republic. If I remember correctly, not only were they going to lose the deal, but Fenton would be killed if it didn't go through (I could be making that part up, though). I'm pretty sure what they did is rig big scoops to the front of Launchpad's plane so that he can push the clouds out of the sky.
