Any of the old crew still playing Urban Dead?

That's funny, I just logged in to the UD thread on EvAv and noticed the posts were a couple months old. Everything old is new again! On topic, I haven't played in awhile.

I found the game just took way too much effort to stay up to date.

I got bored with it after a while, has anything new been added to it?

I tried numerous times to get into UD but I always felt the same way when playing.
Just when I started to get into it...turns are up, come back tomorrow if you aren't dead! :(

For those who were part of the mass exodus a month or so back - Blesley mall is down and destroyed.
They did introduce a timed decay sort of thing - the long a structure says ruined the more AP (turns) you use up repairing it. So there's a penalty for not duking it out with the zombie horde right away.

There is an.. "older" thread about this too. Yes, Rayfield, Tollyton. That's where I hang out.

So uh... where is everybody?
I'm in the Peppardville/Pitneybank area, griefing a PKer group (http://wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/Mostly_Harmless) with 1 or 2 quick strikes when I am loaded with ammo and generators, then retreating away somewhere safe.

No clue...but if you'd like I can move there. I'm probably still around where the last place we hit as a group was.

Maybe we can organize something again. Perhaps not to the extent of how our group was in its prime, but at least we'd all be in the same place.

I think I'm still somewhere around Stansbury. No idea of my status however. I haven't played as of late... been looking forward to a more real-time zombie experience with L4D coming up. :)

Heyas all. Still in the Blesley Area which is pretty much back to normal (kind of sad considering that things were more interesting for a few days). Apart from that brief period of disruption I haven't been doing any survivalist type activities (like healing or rezing), and have been more into griefing and taking out certain specifically targeted PKers (see irounds bounty on rogues gallery for a laugh). Don't worry, it's nothing particularly shameful or crass though ;).
"Sam Badman" in UD btw.

Is UDBrainMap still kaput? Man, I loved that tool. :(

Even after I switched to Firefox 3 I could still access information by visiting the map at http://redrum.soul-fantasy.net/map.php . But now even though the loading data message still appears the barricade info is not showing at all, happened in the last few weeks. A little annoying but I don't rely on it too much.

Someone want to stand up, pick up the reins of leadership..and point us all in one direction? I'm too worn out from the game to want to do that right now.

I just got entirely too burned out on this game. I don't know if I could go back.

It could be tough, because I think those of us still playing are focused on different types of things. And frankly the survivor aspect alone of the game hasn't been enough to keep me interested for a while. I did make the first step in changing my group name though :).
Anyone else following suit?
