Tribes Next (http://www.tribesnext.com/) is a community run Tribes 2 server and mod. since sierra doesn't exist anymore, and the tribes 2 servers have been shut down (http://forums.vgames.com/ann.jspa?annID=332), a community has been built back up to get it up and running again.

this is completely free to play, and if there are any tribes fans around, they are probably as excited as i am.

(im not exactly sure how legal this is, but tribes 2 had been free for sometime from sierra)

i hope to see a good group of us playing!

Oh man, this is very tempting. I used to love Tribes 2. I may have to rummage around to find my copy and get back into the action.

vista64. its been perfect so far, the notes only mention some slight issues in using wine.

I never played any of the Tribes games, and it has always been a gaming regret. Count me in for this.

Downloaded this last night, I'll give it a try soon. I'm really looking forward to playing Tribes 2 again, I have so many good memories.

Anyone still playing this? I set it aside after having problems registering at first, but now I'm having a good time remembering how to jump around!

Edit: TF2 will of course take priority tonight at the proper time. :)

I used to love Tribes 2.

The only reason I haven't downloaded this yet is because I'm not going to have hardly any free time, over the next few weeks especially, so I'd hate to get drawn into it and then have to stop playing. :(

Whatever happened to that browser-based Tribes game? I think I'll wait for that, I'm not hurting for any new games to play right now.

If you're talking about Fallen Empire: Legions, there's no need to wait. You can play right now, and it's pretty fun.
