View Full Version : Disaster: Day of Crisis US depends on how it does in Europe

This (http://wii.kombo.com/article.php?artid=12887) does not fill me with hope.
With seemingly no presence of Disaster at Nintendo's event, it came down to our crack team of covert journalists (they're the guys waving) to get to the bottom of things. And when they caught up with Reggie Fils-Aime, alongside Mark Bozan of IGN, the question was put forth to the Nintendo of America President.
Little did they suspect, however, that he would turn the question back around on them: He asked what we thought, and what our readers thought.
Mark, Phil, and Sean all said that they had witnessed a positive buzz surrounding the title. And to that, he said that what Nintendo of America was doing was watching and waiting, seeing how it does in Europe. And then, they would see where they would go from there. So this game--made in Japan, and set in the US--won't come out stateside unless enough Europeans buy it?
Does. Not. Compute.
Yay Europe wins (for once).
I'm sick and tired of the US lording new titles over us! Now you're at out mercy. </powertrip>

All Europeans are required to buy this game as decreed by me. Should you not follow this order, I shall personally visit you with smiting flame.
Actually I'll just import it, but I will still not be happy with you.

Nah, but there is a Wii Freeloader out there, and that is what I used to play imports on the GameCube.
The European language may be a problem for me.

Hmm...
I'm in Australia. I wonder if that counts as Europe in this case...

Dude don't forget how we got Terranigma and they didn't. That was only a bit over a decade ago.

You know what what was great about Terranigma? I was completely awesome :D
I think Europe also got Doshin the Giant, but not North America. We apparently weren't part of Europe that time.

Who the hell came up with this release scheme. Nintendo, look to Atlus for guidance. Release and move on. If it's not enough copies oh well. O_o
This actually looks like a Wii game I'd buy.

Terranigma.. man I remember that game. It was incredible beyond all words. Was quite fun to play it on a rom a year back or so.
Shame this one probably won't make it state side, looks like a great game.

Don't say such things! I know someone (http://www.colonyofgamers.com/cogforums/member.php?u=430) who would be awfully disappointed if this doesn't come over to the states.
