Steam -- endlessly connecting

I ran my Steam client at lunch at it was fine, but now it updated and seems to be stuck in "Connecting Steam Account: Arphahat" mode. Anyone else having trouble, or is this just me?

Arphahat: Low bandwidth/connectivity to the Steam Auth servers. Enough packets are getting through to make Steam think it *can* connect, it's just being really slow.
