Official "Got a new 360 HDD for Christmas and need a transfer cable" thread

So I got a shiny new 60GB HDD for my 360 for Christmas which I can't wait to install many games on. The problem is I need the transfer kit from MS in order to transfer my current data over to the new HDD. I know I could just recover my gamertag but I'd hate to have to start from 0 zombie kills in L4D, and lose all my Burnout Paradise data etc.

So rather than waiting weeks for MS to send me one, I was hoping someone here had one they could send to me, cable and the software that comes with it. I'll pay shipping of course. If no one here on CoG has one I'll fax away the form to MS next week.

If anyone else is in the same situation I can pass the cable along to them when I am done. It will be like the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants!

I think I have one laying around...wouldn't be that far away either...A bit too tipsy right now to be wading through my cable bin, but I'll try and take a look tomorrow. Would still take a while to get there, though, due to Boxing Day and New Year's postal holidays.

i was hoping to get a 360 HD today, but the mrs said she could not find one anywhere (she was after the 120gb, and of coarse they have been discontinued for some time). does anyone know if i snag one off ebay if there are a lot of fake ones around? like ds cards and mem cards.

120 GB hasn't been discontinued. And yeah, I got my 120 on ebay for $100.

They're tough to find in western Canada at least. I saw one at the new Futureshop but when I went back later that week it was gone.

I moved most of my stuff over with great success. I think it was a few saves that wouldn't move but it was like, fuck it.
