Ok, I have no idea what's going on. I have Time Warner Cable Road Runner. I'm running a Motorola SBV5220 router with a Netgear WGR614v6. I connect to my desktop via ethernet cable and XB Live via wireless. My roommate also uses the wireless to connect to his desktop and XB Live.
Live always tells me I have a "strict" connection and so I have issues doing multiplayer over Live. I've tried everything I can dig up to change that with no luck. Now, it seems, this connection is also restricting my ability to download ANYTHING from the MS site. Updates, you know it...I get a "cannot connect to the download server" type message. I've gone into the wireless config pages and tried to find out how to do that with the Motorola but with no success. Whether I use IE7 or Firefox, I can't download from the MS site or fix this "strict" connection.
Any ideas?
