My Firefox browser use to boot up reasonably fast enough, but now it takes up to 2 minutes to start. Anybody else have this problem? How do I fix it?

Clear the cache? Reinstall? Is it only firefox or are other programs going slower?
Figured I'd get the basic trouble shooting out of the way while the more experienced people come in.

Just Firefox. I just slapped on an extra stick of RAM recently, and it's still slow.

Are you using XP or Vista? If XP, when's the last time you reinstalled? I generally do a clean install every 6 months or so, and there's a noticeably speed boost across the board.

Any tool bars installed that you could uninstall? It could also be a problem extension or theme.

Clearing the cache usually helps, especially with FF's new Awesome Bar. Also check any plugins you may have installed recently.

Now that you mention it, I've had the Google Web Accelerator on here, but it's been disabled by Firefox and I can't seem to uninstall it. But I've had it for so long, and haven't had problems with Firefox until recently.
I'll try clearing the cache and reinstalling and whatnot.
edit: I went with my gut feeling, and uninstalled my Ubiquity addon. Fixed the problem instantly.
I only wish that was my problem. My laptop got nailed with the Vundo virus. Thing is a bitch and I've decided it is much easier to do a clean install than to mess with it any longer. Heck if I know were I got it. I have not downloaded anything recently except a couple WoW Interface mods. Even those I downloaded over a week ago.
Good luck with speeding up Firefox. I haven't had any issues with it until the whole Vundo thing.
