Hey, I'm building a stomp box for shits and giggles to go with the more folksy direction my guitar playing has been going lately, and was wondering if anyone had experience with this kind of thing, and any pointers as to what kind of mic I should throw inside. Ideally, it should pick up bass fairly well, and not clip too much even if I stomp a bit hard. That's about the only requirements; the ideal after that is that it is cheap.
We're bound to have somebody on this large board that has an idea of what I'm looking at -- so, if anybody has pointers, would you be willing to share them with this skinny assmoose?
