I see the new Amazon Search box on the CoG home page.

In the box, I see a Wii points gift card.

2000 points - $24.99 (http://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-Wii-2000-Points-Card/dp/B000IMYL0U?&camp=212361&linkCode=wsw&tag=cog-20&creative=380793)

Why would someone pay $25 to get $20 worth of points?

That's some pretty bold price jacking on Amazon's part.

They figure people are too stupid to notice/care.

Well, greed on Amazon or Nintendo's part. ;)

I see this quite often not just with Wii points online, but with 360 ones as well. Doesn't make sense to me. Is gratuity involved?

I always have trouble figuring out the appropriate price of 360 point cards since 1 point <> $1. With the Wii version, it is REALLY telling.

Is it Amazon or one of the private sellers under them jacking it? Seeing as how it is the holiday season, price jacking is common, and it may just be someone else.

Looks like the price has dropped on the product page today. Now, the point card is ON SALE for 19.99 with a $5 SAVINGS.

Such bullshit

The worst was the PSN Cards before they were widespread. There were 3rd party sellers selling them for $35...for a $20 card. The best part about those are...it says "$20" on them, there's no point value BS like MS and Nintendo have.

So if people were buying those cards...well they deserve what they got.
