Anyone done any? My goal for next year is to create something meaningful for it.

That means a game.

I'm looking for good tutorial sites and such.

Interesting question. I'm curious myself as I could see an iPhone game being a fun project.

I was just going to post this and say, "Looks like the SDK is available."

Mr. Murphy is too fast. :p

I'm also somewhat interested in this, despite not having any game programming experience myself. I've been mulling over looking into development of iPhone/Touch or Zune games. Not on a professional level, but more as a learning exercise.

Y'know if anyone was planning on something that would involve any writing, I'd like to throw my hat into the ring. I need a change of career and have decided to pursue my dream of actually getting paid for pouring out my brain on to a keyboard.

Lacking a relevent degree, I need some of that experience stuff. :D

Don't feel alone, I was going to do the same.

Bap, did you have anything in particular in mind yet? Hell anything can be better than most the crap they float out there. I for one have wanted to see a decent Action RPG where you could play an Ocarina like device or certain symbols perform certain spells. Or an On rails shooter?, nah too simple. Or a RTS, seems ideal don't it?

Am I missing something or does the SDK toolset only run on OS X? If so, I guess I'm done researching. It wouldn't surprise me that you'd need a Mac, but that does limit your number of developers if that's truly the case.

Someone please tell me I'm wrong. :o

As far as I know it does require a Mac. I worked for a company that had to buy a Mac Mini to do development.

I've done work on the (currently #2 app in the store) Seadragon Mobile app. The author of which is a CoG member Noxa. If you want more indepth answers....I'm sure we can work something out.

Yeah it seems a bit too...wordy. I don't know. I've watched a few tutorials and wasn't to impressed with the language syntax.

I'm working on a game right now, but I'm not a programmer- I'm designing it, and others are doign the programming.
