I know we are all big Steam fans here, but has anyone checked out the weekend deals Stardock is running on Impulse?

For those who are curious:

Galactic Civilizations 1 - 3.99, down from 19.95

The Politicial Machine 2008 - 3.99, down from 19.95

Space Rangers 2 Complete - 3.99, down from 39.95!!

Supreme Commander - 9.99, down from 19.99

Galactic Civilizations II: Dread Lords - 9.99, down from 19.95

My Colors: Winter Wonderland - 9.99, down from 19.95 (yeah I have no idea)

I'm not trying to shill or anything, but some of those seem like really good deals. I'm tempted to buy GalCiv 1 for $4, even though I already have the disc lying around somewhere. $4 is pretty hard to pass up.

Does anyone know if Space Rangers 2 is any good? I don't know anything about the game.

Mags, if you can find the CD key for GalCiv1, you can attach it to your Stardock/Impulse account and be able to just download it from their servers. That version would be fully patched up too.

I know. I was just thinking of grabbing it for $4 because it includes the expansion.

I'm just going to hold off and buy GalCiv 2 instead. I'd much rather play the sequel at this point.

I missed the other thread too, somehow, but thanks to Mags - may I call you Mags? - I didn't remain ignorant of the awesome deals. Just bought GalCiv I and Space Rangers 2 because you can't go wrong at that price. They're my reward if I live through finals week.

Of course you can call me Mags! I've definitely grown used to that nickname. :)

Any thoughts yet on Space Rangers 2? I really want some impressions from someone!
