I'm going with the avatars for now, though I consider disabling them. Sigs are right out, though.

Needs more. The other vB site I post to lets me have 100. RPGnet had a 200 option.

Makes it much less cumbersome to follow large threads.

I like signatures... Avatars are hit or miss, but I like being able to scroll quickly through a thread and see mine, thus knowing where I left off.

Of course 40 posts per page.... if it would let me load the entire thread on one page I would. I also always have a way of posting the 39th post, so its the last one on the first page, thus guaranteeing nobody will see it.

I enjoy avatars since they give a little personality. Signatures tend to contain useful info most times. I pull a lot of peoples gamertags and Steam IDs from signatures.

I have everything enabled right now. No one has abused those rights so far that I've seen so until then everything stays on for me.

I actually really enjoy graphical signatures as long as they're done tastefully and not too big. Avatars are cool too as long as they aren't animated.

I hacked the system and have 4000 posts per page display.

50 posts per page at least seems pretty awesome, since it divides so evenly.

I have them all enabled along with 40 posts per page but I also use this (http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/3972) Greasemonkey script to auto load the next page when I'm near the bottom.

As long as there's no massive banners in people's signatures, I keep them enabled. I like that avatars are an option, too, and I really like the image-shrinking feature to keep big screenshots from breaking the layout.

Out of everything I like about the new place, the image-shrink is my favorite.

Why isn't 40ppp the default now? It would save every single (right-minded) member from having to go change it...

And since I browse from work, I turn off avatars (more business-like) and images (surprise semi-NSFW safe)...

I've got the defaults set...but options scare me. So I mostly stay away. Mostly.

Sigs pointlessly break up a conversation. Most of them out there just contain some stupid quote that might be entertaining to read once, but that's about it. While they may contain useful info like Gamertags, Steam names, etc., I do not need to see that info every time they make a post. If I wanted to see it, I could go to the profile and check.

Avatars are a useless distraction, and I always thought one of the best things about EA was that they weren't allowed.

I max the posts per page and hide sigs. Thats about it.

Avatars are a usability benefit, so I wouldn't hide them.
