My vote goes to World of Goo ;)

I voted Braid, but I was surprised not to see Street Fighter HD Remix.

We gonna have best DLC as well, I hope so! We also need best improved category.

We considered doing a best 'add on/DLC update' category, but figured it would turn into a vote on the game more than the content.

No Strong Bad?

Anyway, my fave was Penny Arcade.

Definitely Geometry Wars 2. Soooooo much fun to play with a friend.

With the group of guys round here, nah, but then again I see your point, because you'd have to have the game for the DLC!

Braid, with BC:Rearmed coming a clsoe second.

Megaman was the biggest waste of 800 points for me this year. :(

This one was a tough choice. Good list. I went with Bionic Commando: Rearmed, I sank a lot of hours into that one.

A pretty good selection this time. Though "The Last Guy" should really be replaced with "Wipeout HD." Nobody is going to vote for "The Last Guy" but there are plenty of PSN replacments that are terrific: Wipeout HD, Pixel Junk Eden, Everyday Shooter etc.

Gave it to Penny Arcade, because it delivered on the lulz, I felt.

Aww, I wanted Siren up there.

Since Siren was really a full product and was released as such in a couple of regions, it becomes a problematic pick. However, it was pretty damn cool.

Only game I downloaded this year was Strong Bad's Blah Blah Blah Episode 1.

This was a tough call. I loved Braid, MM9, and BC, but I think BC was way too good. BC just feels like a full priced, disc-based game, and it's $10.

Braid was my pick ere I even saw the options. Great game.

I guess you got a point. Although it was only downloadable here in the States.

With the way it's been going with the other polls, I'm surprised no one's chimed in to complain about the lack of Castle Crashers. :p

Definitely some stiff competition in this poll. Had to go with Braid, though.

I actually downloaded it and never really played it, so I don't really have an opinion on it. I just thought it was well-liked, though it looks like I was wrong.

That's why I thought it was the biggest disappointment. Because it's so damned good and they refuse to let me play with my friends. The very reason I bought it in the first place.

I hate (or maybe not) complaining about the alternatives, but The Last Guy was one of the weaker PSN releases you could have picked. PixelJunk monsters, PixelJunk Eden and Wipeout HD are all considered to be way better than TLG.

Penny Arcade all the way. They managed to fulfill my uncontrollable need for both old school adventure games and old school RPGs, and it's Penny Arcade. Braid is pretty sweet too, though my saves were corrupted when I transferred my 360 data to the 120Gig drive... I also just got a little hooked on Wipeout HD. Simple, fun and VERY pretty. Kind of weird to be clumping these all together since they are very different games. (I respect what they did with Bionic Commando, but they could have made some concessions to modern gameplay... Like a jump button.)

Braid is certainly the best of the bunch. But VC and MM9 are incredibly good as well.

Tough call.

Honorable mention to Eden, Wipeout HD.

I was so tempted to vote for Bionic Commando or Penny Arcade, but had to go with Geometry Wars 2. That game is just flat out addicting and awesome.

I have to go with Braid , as much as I love Bionic Commando it was a remake and not an original game. Braid was just so well done and a lot of fun too.

No WipEout HD is a massive failure, it beats out any of those games easily.

Castle Crashers? Audiosurf? Sigh.

I'm telling ya man, next year they need to do like the VGA's do, and allow us Cog members to nominate the nominee's. It'd be simple, just have us PM or E-mail the mods our nominee's and the most common ones would go up on the poll.

This whole "secret ballot" behind-the-scenes thing is BS. I've always hated award shows like the Oscars for doing crap like that.

This is a place that's supposed to be about community. So the nominations should be in our hands, not the mods.

I picked Bionic Commando because I really liked it.

N+ was released this year too, right? I haven't bought it yet, but I think I want to. PixelJunk Monsters was a good purchase as well.

Well I picked Penny Arcade.

I haven't finished Braid yet. I am literately missing two pieces of the last puzzle or something.

Then you move on to episode 2, which is a bit better.

I voted for Braid, it was the game that got everyone to shut up about Metal Gear Solid 4. It also featured amazing puzzle ideas and pushed the concept as 'games as art' to become true as the way the game is played, the audio, the visual, everything worked together to create a mood and feelings.

I'm just being difficult. Braid is the obvious pick of the litter. I'd like to see Castle Crashers on the list, but I would have voted for Braid anyway.

I haven't actually played the full version of any of those. I voted for Braid because I enjoyed the demo for it more than the other games on the list. Please don't kill me EternalGamer. :p

I have to echo the disappointment that World of Goo and Audiosurf are not on this list. Where's the PC love? Having a poll for Best Downloadable Game that leaves off the leading platform for downloadable games seems pretty silly.

-World of Goo (WiiWare)
-LostWinds
-Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Little King and The Promised Land
-Helix

And I'll toss in Groovin' Blocks. But if I have to choose one, it leans towards LostWinds or Helix.

Why would I kill you? Braid is awesome. It's what I voted for. I just don't understand the lack of representation of great PSN titles or Braid being on the list for "best story." Braid's story consist of like 9 or 10 paragraphs delivered to the player in the form of text boxes. And while there are some fun allusions in those 10 paragraphs, I would exactly call it an amazing narrative.

I thought you might kill me because you said in another post that people shouldn't be voting for games that they haven't played or completed. I haven't actually played Braid past the demo, so I thought you might notice that and take offense. :p

Too bad those text boxes aren't where the "real" story of Braid lies.

Why isn't price listed with this? With varying price points, the cost/content ratio seems like something that should come into play. Or are you counting on us paying attention? ;)

To be honest, I don't think any re-made old school games should count - Bionic Commando included.

Why not? It's the best $10 I've spent online all year.
