Resistance 2 Public Beta Now Taking Applications

Who doesn't like a good beta? I mean, you get to play a game (or some part of a game) for free before it's released. It's like a demo, but somehow more special.

If you haven't gotten into the private beta for Resistance 2 (thanks for nothing Starbuck), now's your chance to get into the public one. Head over to the Resistance 2 Beta Sign Up (https://beta.myresistance.net/en-us/SignIn?url=%2fen-us%2fApply%2fBetaForm) site and get cracking. As it is, they still tell you that space is limited but a game with a 60-player multiplayer system, they're going to need quite a few people out there playing this thing.

cool. signed up. I enjoyed playing the first one and the videos for this one look even better. Hopefully applied early enough. The only other beta i got in on was the private Endwar beta.

I told them I played 41+ hours a week. Maybe if they're convinced I play a ridiculous amount of multi they'll let me in. I should have put Warhawk or MGS Online down though instead of TF2, CoD4 and Halo 3. I don't really play multi too much, but I long for the weeks where I would have 41+ hours to play videogames.

I did the same thing, but for different reasons ... I misread, and thought it asked how much time I spent on the internet, not played... Whoops! Ah well, hopefully they'll let me in now.

Signed up. The competitive multiplayer was setup at PAX. I didn't get much time with it, but I enjoyed what little I played.

Coincidentally I'm wearing the Resistance 2 t-shirt I was handed while playing it. Hopefully that's a sign. I think the last beta I was randomly selected for was the Diablo 2 expansion. I'm in Lich King right now, but only because I attended Blizzcon 2007.

I remember the days when getting into beta's came from invites. It was kind of cool to get an unexpected invite to a beta because of participation in previous beta's. Kick ass beta's too with usually a T-shirt or some other gift at the end of the beta. These days it seems like it is all about buying your way in via preorders or some other promotional subscription, or just random selection.

I preorderd, so I've got my beta voucher thing sitting in my entertainment center. This was a Sony email that I guess goes out to anyone who's registered their email w/them via the PSN.
