Anyone have/play the Zombies! series?

A tile based board game set in modern suburbia you play one of 8 Hunters trying to make your way through the city to the helicopter and fly off to safety. As the game progresses the city gets built tile by tile and zombies and power ups added per tile instruction. The game also has action cards that are used during a turn to help lean the advantage in your direction (my personal favourite is the 'send a player back to town square'. The base game comes with everything you'd need to play and has multiple expansions.

Easy learning curve and anyone can play (my mom has played a couple times with us)

I have parts 1-5 and we rotate through which ones we play. We did a marathon one night using all the expansions and kept the helipad tiles out until the very end.

More info, price, rules - http://www.twilightcreationsinc.com/zombies/

Games:
Zombies!
Zombies! 2 Zombie Corps(3) - military expansion
Zombies! 3 Mall Walkers - dawn of the dead style expansion
Zombies! 3.5 Not Dead Yet - action card expansion and custom rules
Zombies! 4 The End - has zombie dogs and Evil Dead 2 style expansion - this standalone game setups the spin off series "MedEvil" (army of darkness style)
Zombies! 5 Schools Out - university themed expansion
Zombies! 6 Six Feet Under - explore under city expansion
Zombies! 6.66 - action card expansion of blank templates for you to make up the cards
Zombies! 7 - send in the clowns - expansion

I own it and most the expansions. I had difficulty liking it the first couple times I played it as the rules leave a bit to be desired and if you try to fudge them you end up hurting someone or causing someone else to have a unfair advantage.

I own 1, 2, 4 and 6.

My brother and I still play usually at least once a week. One of these times, we're going to invite some friends over and play a game with ALL the tiles and cards. Should be a barnburner. :D

It took us a long time to get through it all. Started on a saturday afternoon and quit in the wee hours of the morning.

We have 1 and 2 here. We just seem to get burned out on it by the time the super zombies show up. I don't know how you could do all the sets at once. Also you would need a pretty big table. We always seem to run out of room.

I have Zombies and Zombie Corps, and they are fun if a little simple and luck based. It is a good game to get a bowl of pretzles, a case of PBR and a bunch of friends together for.

This game is incredibly fun.
We usually do half Zombies! and half Munchkins on our nights together.

Great, great, great times of fucking your friends over.

I have played it and agree... I know I can't get much more vanilla than that.

I have the Last Night on Earth and Mall of Horror, but I do not have any of the Zombies!! games.

Always been curious, though.

Like I said earlier, it is a fun game but simple and mostly luck based. It is a great game to play with a small group of people that don't typically play board games and wouldn't really be keen to learning all the rules to play something else. Or just a "popcorn" game, little to no thought or focus required, just play.

It is cool having an army of zombie miniatures. They are like those little plastic toy soldiers, except Zombies with holes in thier abdomens and carrying around heads.

I love Zombies!!! in fact, I forced it to be a tournament at PAX :)

That being said, there are a number of ways to spice up the game, such as allowing multiple zombies per space, limited lives for players, fixed cities, player controlled zombies, etc. With a few simple tweaks the game becomes much more intense and fast paced.

That being said, Last Night on Earth is probably a better zombie game with a more solid rule set.

I think part of my fanboyism for Zombies!!! is the fact that they are pretty loose with their rules, and basically tell you "Make house rules - whatever you wanna do to make it fun!" :) I'll have to try Last Night on Earth, though.

I have all the expansions and the original.
I am not a fan. Why? I can't tell you since I thought I would LOVE it.
Just can't get anyone to like it or enjoy it:(
