Mooks, cannon fodder, nuisances....in a word: Goblins.
These are the frontlines for any villain...the first to die. And they all have a story!
So, my buddy from high school and his friend have a webcomic. And I'm all about pimping webcomics for friends, and ones I think are funny. This one is funny, it made me laugh out loud, which is rare, indeed.
It's called Dregs, and can be seen at www.lowlydregs.com
Stephen is my friend, he does the art, and probably some of the writing. It's good, and check out the episodes called 'Nerd Sauce'...they're hit or miss, but I likes 'em.
Here's a sample:

Thanks for taking a peek.

One goblin is laughable, hundreds of goblins, snarling savagely, their speech a guttural hiss, spittle spraying through yellowed, jagged pointy teeth, wearing piecemeal bits of armor and chainmail over dark green mottled skin, carrying swords that look more like jagged pieces of rusting metal, flesh mutilating tools of war, their cold dark eyes ripe with bloodlust, poised and ready to unleash mass carnage upon you...
Now that's scary.
Yes, i'm a mean DM.

Ah dm'ing.
What good times.
After 22 years of it, I still think it is more fun than "almost" anything else in life. When a good game comes together its just amazing.

Lightning Hands vs. hundreds of 3rd edition Goblins...WAHA-HOOOEEEE!!
4th Edition Goblins are nothing to joke about. Man, I had three take on a party of three 1st level characters. After getting pastebombed to the ground, they were taken hostage. It was...in a word...breathtaking. Truly, the happiest day of my GMing life. I got to capture the heroes without resorting to GM Fiat....Just...beautiful!

Writer here,
REALLY, really thankful for the positive feedback. The first time I posted in a gaming forum, it was mixed reviews.
Does anybody have any favorites, and/or did you also see the NERD SAUCE strip in the apple?

"Was that Lighting Hands? We are so dead!"
Your shit is gold! Keep up the great work.
Not much to offer in terms of critical analysis... Love how we never "see" the human characters.
