Anyone else having this problem?

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling flash and steam. Nothing works. I can't access the store with this problem. It will work when I first run steam, but after clicking once in the store, it stops working and looks like this.

Have you restarted your computer after installing flash 10?

Its happened a few times, but each time it has been solved with a simple restart. I don't know how it applies, but remember that Steam runs off an IE derivative browser called gecko i believe. So make sure you have the latest IE flash updates, not just firefox ones.

Gecko is the name of the rendering engine that Firefox uses, and it's not IE related at all. AFAIK, Steam just uses regular bog-standard IE, in all its splendor.

So maybe that's why I couldn't get TF2 to work in Wine :p

Yea, I get this problem every now and then. I just restart Steam and it straightens it's self out. Highly annoying since links stop working when this occurs. I suppose I should install these flash updates that bug me every time I start my computer up.

I was having this exact problem yesterday as well. I could get things into my shopping cart, but could never progress pass the eula agreement screen. When I hit home, it would take me to that screen. Even after restarting steam and then rebooting the computer, it wouldn't work.

My solution was to make my purchases on the website. Worked fine there.

I really wish they would overhaul the Steam software itself with something a little snappier. It tends to mess up and drag sometimes, and overall just feels sluggish far too often.

You can't not install IE. It's part of the OS. Hence all the lawsuits over it.

Heheh, what's funny is that you are using Explorer to "uninstall" Explorer!

8-P

Everything I've always read leads me to believe that unchecking IE in that list just removes the shortcut and doesn't point any programs at it.

That option just removes shortcuts to Internet Explorer. It's still fully installed on your computer.

In your FACE!

I beat you by two full minutes, and I have documented proof!

Anyway, I was sort of pulling out facts that I haven't read up on in years. So thanks for backing me up.
