The original cover artwork for METALLICA's classic 1986 album "Master of Puppets", painted by artist Don Brautigam, was snapped up yesterday (Monday, November 24) for $28,000 in a sale of popular culture and entertainment art at Christie's auction house at Rockefeller Plaza, New York City. (Note: The $35,000 final figure includes the Christie's buyer fees.)
The framed, 17x17-inch piece is signed on the lower right of the painting "DB."
