Wait. If they are calling you a liar then they'd better have a fucking good reason to back it up...

Dude, don't do this. I don't know anything about your situation but if you do this you might sully your reputation even further. I can't imagine the radio business isn't a tight-knit one.
Find out what they're referring to. If they're wrong, explain it to them. If they're right (in any way shape or form), make reparations where you can and walk away with dignity and perhaps a reinstated job.

Not a good idea. For one, they may be able to cite you for breach of confidentiality. Not to mention you'd essentially be proving them right and doing yourself a major disservice. Remember - this is about YOU, not about THEM.

If it's any consolation you get mad props from me for using "Mother Puss Bucket". I use it all the time to the confusion of many strangers. :D
Still, sucks about the job. I know your pain. Been there for the past many months.

Btw, be sure to file for unemployment and play up the "I was wronged" angle. They almost always side with you. Trust me. It worked for me.
Do you have enough evidence to prove wrongful termination?

Fuck 'em man. Big Corp always wins these small battles. However, it's not out of line to call every agency responsible for regulating their industry and putting in some legit claims they've tried sweeping under the carpet. I have the BSA phone number in my cell for just the occasion.

Bah, wait till you get paid for the wrongful termination. Then do something completely smart ass like nnanji and I did and mail happy postcards to your former bosses thanking them for firing you and that you are having a wonderful Festivus. Seriously, turn to sarcastic anger, my friend.
As someone who thinks of the big end 24/7, and believe me I do, I recommend you get some satisfaction on them and then see how you feel.

That's the picture we sent.
Here's the text that went with it:
Greetings, oh most excellent GameStop employees!
You might be wondering who the two bozos
on the front of this card are.
We are former dedicated and long-term employees like you!
Believe us, we know how tough it is working for
GameStop during the 4th quarter.
Our advice: keep your chin up, stay warm, and take comfort in the knowledge that this, like a bad root canal,
will all be over soon.
Oh, and a big shout out to our homie,
Timothy “The Mad Flusher” Riggins!
Without your unjustified and petty terminations we would be stuck working another Holiday instead of kicking back in our cool shorts and enjoying hot cocoa with marshmallows!
We want to wish you the best of
Holiday Seasons and a Happy New Year!
Thank you!!
So, get some satisfaction, my friend, then see how you feel.
Edit: I should point out we sent this to every store in Tim Riggin's district. :)

Ah, sorry to hear that, man. I imagine it is always rough losing a job, but it seems even worse around the holidays like this. Let me know if you need any help looking for something else. :)

I have a random thread-jack question. Is Timothy Riggins a tall fat blond man? Because I'm thinking I know who he is.
nnanji
11-24-2008, 07:01 PM
No, he is a short, fat man. He is fat though.
Fatty.

Hmmm. Okay. Is he a DM? Ten years ago I worked for EB and this dude named Tim was our DM and I wanted to headbutt him every time he came into the store.

He had just been promoted to DM when he came to Cincinnati, so I don't think he was the same guy. The urge to headbutt him was strong though. Maybe it comes with the name. Or maybe it's just a natural urge when it comes to asshole DMs.
edit: The card was a lot fo fun. And I still get recognized from the card when I stop into Gamestops. It's pretty funny when total strangers go, "Aren't you that guy from the card? It's still hanging up in the back room."

Yeah, we certainly went out with style and made our legacy. :)
Fat Fuck Riggins is a very stubby, fat little red headed, red bearded, over promoted bastard. You know, the kind that knows all the right ass to kiss to get there but none of the skill. I think he's out in the mid-states some place. St. Louis or some such. Good riddance.

Welcome to the land of radio unemployment.
At least they gave you some kind of reason for getting let go. (Albeit a shitty one.)
My "termination" was purely "budget reasons". Y'know, getting fired by someone who makes 10x what I make in a year for "budget reasons" is the most fucked up experience I've had, to date.
