The details: Jack White writes, produces and performs in the first Bond theme duet with Alicia Keys. From what I've read, a lot of people don't like the song, but I'm loving it.

I've been hearing the song for several days now on the radio at work. While I like it, I do not see how it will appeal to a majority of people or tie appropriately into the movie.

Personally, I didn't really like Chris Cornell's Bond theme and felt that it didn't really fit the "feel" of Bond, this one feels a bit better to me.
Edit:
That's actually due to Chris Cornell's voice more than anything, the music itself is OK.

Yeah. I really didn't like it much. Heard it a few weeks ago. Not a big fan of the video going with it either.
There is one band that has the right skills to be doing the James Bond theme song. Say it with me now.
Muse.

Don't you dare tease with something like that. Just the thought of such a project...

I'm in love with this. Of course, I'm in love with anything Jack White touches, but this is just a great Bond theme. So much better than that last pile of trash.

It might grow on me like You Know My Name did, but it didn't thrill me this time.
Cannot WAIT for the movie though. Casino Royale was a great flick, my second favorite Bond after From Russia With Love.

I know! When I heard about the simple idea I had to sit back and just say "Wow". It's like a match made in heaven.

Or, they can ditch the imitation and get Radiohead.:p

Except they probably don't want to depress people when they are going in to see the flick :D.
Full disclosure: I love Radiohead

Parts remind me of older bond themes, but it still doesn't grab me. But then again, I still miss Brosnan...

It is about as good as the title of the flick itself.

I've no idea how well it works as a Bond theme, but I love the song. I am a big fan of The White Stripes (and The Raconteurs) though, and to me that sounds like a WS song.

I like the White Stripes, and I like this song. But like Cornell's, it just doesn't fit in with all the classic James Bond themes.
They are trying to reboot the whole series though, so maybe more modern rock songs are just part of that.

I like Radiohead as well, but Muse has a sense of Epic to it that Radiohead does not. And as someone else said, Radiohead is a bit slower and more depressing than Muse.

Hmm. I'd have to see the actual credits for Quantum of Solace before I decide. Artist's music videos for their Bond themes never impress me, and I thought "You Know My Name" was complete rubbish until I saw it used in the movie itself.

I think Jack White will be a rock legend before he's done. The White Stripes are highly under-rated.

Oh man, Muse would kill for a Bond theme.
I like this one. The Raconteurs are great and Jack White has a good voice. I also loved You Know My Name, so this change to more modern rock themes is something I'm definitely if favor of; not to mention the entire reboot in general. Casino Royale is my favorite Bond movie, usurping You Only Live Twice. And that had a fucking ninja assault on a volcano.

Their voices together are just awesome. And those horns? Fantastic!

I'm going to dance while waiting in line for it. :D

Yeah, they're kinda fringe. Thank gods their still making music. Some artists would just fade into obscurity, the White Stripes soldier on! Huzzah!
