Were you not wearing them when you picked the shirt, then?
I'm not a fan of the shirt, is what I'm getting at.
But I like the bookstore date. I might try and use that. How does that work? Do you split up? Stick together? Do you buy her a book?
I did have the glasses when I bought that shirt. I dress like a dickhead, I admit it. But that's me. :)
As for the bookstore date, the way we do it is we get split up, grab some books we like, and grab some coffee or hot cocoa and share our findings with each other. We also both usually agree to meet up eventually in the history or graphic novel sections, because we both like those sections. And she bought me a book on our first date; it really shocked the hell out of me. But since I paid for dinner, she absolutely insisted. It was Kurt Vonnegut's "Slaughterhouse 5." She's a special girl, haha. :D

Haha, we've been together for two years and talks of such things have occurred, but we both agreed that it would be best to wait till we have our degrees finished and a place of our own. Once we achieve a little solidarity, then marriage will be more plausible. But yea man, she's awesome, funny, smart, and not dramatic. She also enjoys geek shit, loves to cook, doesn't mind when I watch hockey (she sometimes even watches it with me!), and shares my passion for hoppy beer. It's awesome. :)

You have two years. TWO! To get your SHIT together. This is your fucking whistle. This is your new birthday. Mark it on the fucking calendar.
If in two years, you have not married her, I will assume your identity. I'll be you, and you can be a fucking chestnut vendor in Guatemala or some bullshit. Your problem Juan, not mine. I'll assume your identity and commence a whirlwind romantic escapade the likes of which would make a Disney princess jealous. I'll wear that fucking shirt if I have to! And then I will ask for her hand.
Mark me, Thulian. In two and a half years, she WILL be married to somebody by your name. I'd stay with her and cherish her to make a POINT. You don't wait on that shit, or a lonely muthafucka from a forum will bird-dog your whole fucking LIFE.
TWO YEARS.

When people say "headshots" the first thing I think about it Unreal Tournament.
For a little while in SF I would party on Saturdays and then crash at my friend's apartment. On Sundays, she would go around doing free headshots for people and I would tag along to hold the light reflector and flirt to make them feel comfortable. I met a lot of beautiful people doing that...
I'm sure there is two in NYC for every one in SF, though. Don't worry Squid!

Have him drink whiskey in a sundress and you have a romance written for Supes.
"You've got a purdy mouth," Josh exclaimed. He put down his whiskey and approached Supes. Supes' body began to quiver. His grip tightened around his can of PBR as beads of condensation rolled off the smooth, silver surface. Josh whispered sensually into Supes' ear, "Squeal like a piggy, boy."
Those are adorable. Love your expression in the second pic.

The food was bad, the atmosphere was bland, and they didn't even have their own beer on tap. It was the very definition of an awful brewpub. Still, that was the only negative experience of the entire trip, which says a lot about how great San Francisco really is.

Good, a restaurant, has a really extensive beer selection too. The beer menu is really thick, separated by state, country, and the waiters are pretty good at matching tastes. They also have really good deals on micro brews. I haven't been there in over a year though.

Yeah, let's ignore all the other highly offensive drink names and focus on one that was made in a US pub in 1979 (supposedly) (a good while before the IRA became a more well-known issue and the terrorism showcased in The Devil's Own (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_devil%27s_own) was more commonplace):
The Irish Car Bomb is said to have been invented in 1979 in Wilson's Saloon, 76 Franklin St. Norwich, Ct., on St.Patrick's Day, by Charles Burke Cronin Oat. It was a variation of another drink he invented known as the Grandfather. Made of one half oz. (give or take) of Baileys and one quarter oz. (give or take) of Kahlua. After realizing that something was missing, Charles Burke Cronin Oat added some Jameson Irish Whiskey, as he did this he said "the IRA just showed up", due to the fact the mixture started to foam over like a little explosion. And with this invention, the Grandfather disappeared and a new drink, the IRA was born.
Two years later, while he and some friends where drinking IRAs and Guinness, Charles Burke Cronin Oat reinvented his recipe once again by dropping his shot of Bailey's and Whiskey into his half finished pint of Guinness with the comment "Bombs Away". And so the Irish Car Bomb came to be.
It's not American idealization of Irish Terrorism anymore than the IED is idealization of suicide/roadside bombers and terrorists.
But hey, let's go ahead and pour ourselves an Abortion followed by a Dead N***er to wash away the awful taste of that Irish Car Bomb.

I didn't order one. We had some at a friend's house, with homemade Bailey's. It was awesome.
That's cool. I am officially too old to stomach any drink that begins to curdle as soon as it's mixed... see the Cement Mixer!

Not bad.
The evilgoodwin:
1 cheap domestic beer
1 cherry-vodka-sour or other delicious girly drink that you can't be seen ordering.
Order both drinks. Say one is for your lady-friend.

1 oz Kahlua

Mix Hazelnut Liqueur and Bailey's together. Pour in Kahlua (without mixing). Top with Whip Cream (optional).
I kinda mixed a Nutty Irishman and a Blowjob :p

Drink 1 shot of tequila
Black out
Wake up 12 hours later with a whole collection of new cuts and bruises, as well as a monster hangover that lasts a couple of days
Make a fried breakfast to speed the recovery process (it doesn't matter if it's breakfast time or not)
My recipe is more like a long term plan. Tequila really doesn't agree with me. That's why I don't touch the stuff anymore.

Nom! Pet a cat while sipping. Cats make everything better.
I rode my motorcycle to work today. Being able to ride in the HOV lane took a half hour out of my morning commute. However; the ride home took over two hours. I had to take a "detour" out into the Cascade Foothills. Traffic had died down a bit by the time I neared home.
My new job/position is wonderful! The people are fun and they seem to love the chance to tell me details about the system infrastructure. I've already been able to take some of the stress off of the other IT Support guy. He is a great guy and has some wonderful stories that he doesn't mind sharing.
I'm the oldest guy in the IT group but they seem to be looking to me for wisdom and the calming influence of maturity.

I recently started a new job as well. I now work for IKEA, building furniture for their As-Is department.
I've never been at a job I actually enjoyed. It's odd but very refreshing at the same time. Just gotta get used to long days (It's been a while since I worked 8.5hr days) and long stretches of shifts (so far it's been 5 in a row for a few weeks)...but otherwise I really like it. Pay is better, and a lot more hours too.

I started a new job a few months back. It's tech support, but I have found out that it is possible for a tech support position to be a good thing. I work with code, I deal mainly through email, I learn new things every day, I work for a fantastically successful company that makes the best product in the market, I work with some of the smartest people in the field, and I am paid handsomely. It's a lot of pressure, but I think that's what I need in my life now. I am very happy with it.
