Actually, they met when my father was working in the rice paddies and my mother was swimming across it to get to the US. Immigration was hot on her trail and he helped her cross the river to safety. They fell in love and a year later, I was born.

But really for cheap stuff on the whole over here you have choice between carling, carsburg, bud, foster and tubourg. Bud is the most offensive larger ever made, carling and carsburg are to avoided if you can while fosters is ok and tubourg can be good. Tuborg just isn't widely sold and tends to be in creates. So if I'm heading over to the house party I can always be sure of picking up a cheap pack of fosters which I know I can drink happily and enjoy well enough. not the choice i'd be making if money and availability weren't an issue but it's really not that bad.

Never seen Ravelinks, but I'm on Texas Ravers (http://texasravers.com/forums/index.php) which is pretty active with all the local promoters. San Antonio doesn't have too many events but it is conveniently within driving distance of pretty much everything. I'll only be in Houston until August 18th but let me know if you ever come down to Houston for any raves. I'll most likely be there.

As for Glow, it was pretty great and I'm always amazed at how nice everyone is at raves compared to other concerts. I danced for pretty much 7 hours straight and met all sorts of people.
