Who does it and are you doing it now? COG keeps me sane during these long boring work days.....without it, I don't know what I would do. There are only so many news/sports/tech/gaming blogs out there to read.

I'm doing it now. Sometimes I'll check it in the few minutes between classes, since my office is right next to my classrooms. In those times where I'm just a bit too spacey to really want to be useful, I'll refresh a little too much.

I do it, but not now, it's gone 9PM!

I'm posting from work now. Sometimes I carry my laptop, but most of the time I leave it at home and use the computers set up in our posts.
I own my own business and work with my wife so I can post whenever. The only time I get yelled at by the boss is when I yell at myself. Which does happen, from time to time.

I'm doing it right now.
Like Blue, I own my business so if anyone wants to give me shit about the ol' Lights Out colors they frequently see on my screen, I'mma can their ass!
I'm doing it now. 90% of my posting gets done during work hours. I need it to survive! lol

Shouldn't the thread title be "Posting from work?"

Right now I am sitting in a mostly empty office where 64 people used to work. Most of the lights are out and once in a while I hear the floor's elevator chime. Today's been pretty slow so I been posting here and there. :)

My job requires about 2 hours of work in an 8 hour day. As such, I spend a ton of time here. I don't know how I survived when I quit posting at EA.

Yep. Fairly easy to do. No one cares.

I generally browse while waiting for Visual Studio projects to open or build. Also when hitting IIS the first time after a reset, as well as when CVS is doing an update. Generally, pretty much anytime my computer has to crunch something for more than a second or two.
This also explains why many of my posts are so short and not always written clearly.

I did it. Now I'm unemployed.

I think almost all my posts are posted from work. My work load is varies quite a bit from day to day. Some days I get very little, some days a ton. This and Google Reader keep me sane.

This is my life... on occasion I get that odd project that takes... 3-4 hours, but ya know, ya try and spread the work out over multiple days to show you are working, which is what I'm doing now.
Just got a project I could probably finish within 4 hours, maybe 5, but I wont have it completed until Friday... the deadline is Monday, so I'm ahead of schedule!
/edit -- I don't work on thursday's, just had to say that so you guys don't think I'm a total slacker ;p

Wow, I'm surprised to see so many people post while at work. Although, I suppose I shouldn't be looking at the time.
Anyway, lump me in with those who post while at work. Most of the time it's pretty slow in the office. Every now and then it'll get super busy and I won't have a chance to even open up CoG. Here and podcasts make up the chunk of free time at work with the occasional checking of gaming sites like 1up.
I used to be able to watch DVDs but it hasn't been like that for some time now.

Well not working at the moment. But will post from class if I can have my laptop out. I do post when I can at my internship. When I was working, hell yes I posted on EA...I couldn't survive that boring ass job without being on the internet.

Id say something like 80% of my posts here are made from work. Not right now though :) And in my lunch break, obviously.

I work during work.
I post either from home, or from the nearby wifi station when out.

I'm doing it now. The bonus is that EA got caught by my work's filter, (there was a click through option though) but CoG doesn't. Something about the way EA was setup made it get snagged for "games" but CoG doesn't... Much better for me :D

I do post from work but am not right now. I try to resist reading/posting from work in general though. There's plenty of opportunity for people to be watching over my back, and who knows how close an eye Big Brother keeps on everyone.
Edit: Oh crap, post #69. Guess I'm never posting again. :(

I can't post at work. The computer is locked up in the bosses office.

I post before work and at lunch. I usually get to work very early to beat traffic and have that time. Other than that, I have the RSS feed set up so that I know what I want to check out, so I can do it efficiently.

With all the gaming skills you possess you can't break in without the boss knowing??;)

I'm wanting to cry because, I cant compile Qt statically. All I want to do, is download Qt, and compile static libraries for use in our application. But noooooo, Qt has to make things hard, Qt has to have minimal support for non linux operating systems. I'm frankly flabbergasted that it doesnt compile out the box.

My line of work has feck all to do with video games so posting on CoG would technically be a violation of internet use. But I only do it during lunch breaks so no major harm done.

When he said boss he meant Big Boss, so no, there is no sneaking past him.

I am in the same boat as many, I almost only post from work. Most weekends I won't even log in.
So, since I am officially laid off as of monday who knows if I will be spending much time around these parts anymore...

Not really, I will still be around, just not nearly as much.

Well, it isn't nearly as shitty a boat with such good company. Good luck to you too...
It does suck, but I doubt I will really be staying away too much, though I have been doing the vast majority of my posting here and at the old site since starting this job nearly 7 years ago. I like this place and you people though, so I will still be dropping by pretty often.
