The Monday, November 17th episode, though late, is here (http://ingamechat.net/audio/IGC20081117.mp3).
Three out of four co-hosts agree that Mirror’s Edge meets, exceeds or misses expectations, depending on the scenario in question. The fourth spent too much time on pinball this weekend to have an opinion. Meets/exceeds was the commonest choice, as misses only applied to the occasional squirrelly combat sequence. So it’s not much of a surprise that we like it, but it’s nonetheless reassuring to know that what was delivered is what was sold.
How Scott has gone even a week without mention of the upcoming DeLorean “time machine” in Burnout Paradise is unknowable, as it represents an intersection of his most cherished virtual and fictional worlds. Maybe the joy was simply too great to share. But regardless of hover-mode and burning tire trails, I think just about anyone can appreciate the after-market support EA continue to lavish upon this game. Maybe it’s safe to believe this long term care may one day be more rule than exception.

Was that Morrowind in the end?

Well, I don't know how other's experience will be, but I just updated fine. I didn't have a stop watch or anything, but keeping my eye on the clock, from the first pre-NXE update to completion was just under two minutes, which is amazing. Hopefully it keeps up like this.

I really have to get my copy of Burnout back from nixpayn to try out the new stuff. ;)

Yeah, mine actually updated pretty quickly and easily. I jumped into a party chat pretty much right away and had no issues. The interface is fast and clean, and my only problem has been that the marketplace is sluggy, and that's no surprise.

Yeah, some of the game details pages aren't loading, nor is Marketplace, which I attribute to those servers being hammered and not ready for the stress load. No idea how online play is right now.
Also, and I'm sure you know this by now, Fallout 3 install = 8 minutes, 5.9 gigs.
Edit: Well, Marketplace is sluggish, at least.

I had problems this morning. First, I didn't auto connect to XBL. When I finally did...my friend's list was empty. Not empty as in...no one was on, but empty as in...I had no friends.
Kinda strange. It also said the party system was blocked for me so I went to change that and got signed out of XBL. I'll have to check it again when I get home tonight and see if anything has changed for me.

I was under the impression that Criterion preferred the PS3 because of its disc capacity. Judging by the size of this game my memory chips are faulty.

Yes on morrowind in the closing. Good ear! Can anyone id the intro? That one is much harder.
And I updated just fine this morning. And Kieflings rocks.

Game music is such a powerful thing
I think the associative power of it comes close to that of smells (scent association is crazy strong, you can smell a thing from 10 years ago and instantly recall what it is. I've heard it's because sensoratory input from the nose isn't filtered the way other input is and has a stronger effect on the brain in some way, which is also why you can't stand a horrible smell but can look at a disfigured face)
After you played the Unreal Tournament music last week I just had to install the game right away. It brings back so many memories =) that soundtrack is bloody brilliant too btw. If wants to listen to it you can do so right here (http://savagesteel.free.fr/unreal/index)! There's a download link too

I picked it because I had reinstalled the old UT and played some matches. Was a blast. :)
